One of the books i read which had the moon phase stuff in it was the concise guide to the stars and planets.

The other bit it reminded me of was when binary stars wobble of their path and one star feeds of the other star.  I can't remember where i saw the diagram now cos it was a while ago and I read a phenomenal amount.


This kind of thing explains what i mean but its not the diagram i saw :
