if the square and compas really symbolize the flower of life; how is it that the flower is an ancient symbol, and the square and compas oare fairly modern, especially the G", which is not the original symbol that was in the middle?

I showed my father this image today(pic1). When he saw it,he nearly fell off his chair. He told me that the pattern in the centre circle,is found in the middle of all masonic temple ceilings(Well.......all the masonic temples he has visited in his 40 years as a freemason). Maybe we`re being told something.  Does anybody have an opinion on crop circles?  I also found this formation(pic2) ,could this be a representation of"The osireion"(pic3+4),leading to the flower of life?  This video may be of interest.
