Hi LibB I had a look at this pic and this is what i have for you from a symbol point of view. remember it is subjective and its only my interpretation of what i can seen in your pic. Others may add or detract from this list.
Dice : fate and change (very quick succession of changes)
Starflower - hope in abundance
Pyramid - energy interchanges, afterlife experiences and indicator of death
spider web is about trapping or entrapment
stars - longing and wistfulness and out of reach feelings
worm tracks - for the greater good
tree roots - fixed and entrenched ideas, solidity, stability
sea - distant emotions and travel
cubes and boxes- trapped feelings, inactivity, inability to move on
sponge - places of learning or the gatherers of tears
under sea - light heartedness and joyfulness or playfulness
moon- loss, tears and lies
whale - nomadic behaviour, wishing to be alone and in control, lonliness.
hope that helps and i hope i have understood your request this time?
plus yes i have enjoyed this picture alot, i feel its full of lots of meaning for you and your very fond of this picture, more so than other pictures you have done.
lots of love
Suzi XXX

Thanks Suzi, you're brilliant, the worm tracks as you call them are to me what my teacher taught me to do for hair. I originally drew a self portrait as a school assignment. half was to be normal and the other half to be abstract. this is where I got the idea to do these pictures. I had some crayons and chose to etch. Basically I would just draw and because I didn't know what to draw I came up with little groups of symbols and shapes. All of these pictures were really only a guide for what I could do and came up as an entity of their own. They were a lifesaver for me at that time, my friends started to draw the same way and found enlightenment through mine and their drawings.
Thankyou once again for the time spent on my pictures. The meanings you have come up with are definitely in line with what was going on in my life at that time.

Another great piece of art that contains such a great deal of detail - I absolutely love this image.
