What do all religions have in common?

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Part of the problems facing human kind today is created by religion. Is there actually any common ground when it comes to our today's world's religions? There should be all are a path to the Divine. And there is only one Divine.

Basically what we are exploring here is a Universal Religion that leads one toward the Divine .

I do not think that that is possible, but I do think that it is worth exploring. At least under the concept of "Inter Religious Dialog".

This exploration would have to include: Islam, Christianity, Judaism, all of Hinduism, Buddhism and it's versions, the Wiccans (theirs is a valid religion) and Daoism.  These are the main seven. There are also other valid religions that lead one toward the Divine and they should also be included.

Guys what are these other religions that leads one toward the Divine that are not of the main seven?

Rather the absolute knowledge of brahmavidhya..is the wholesome 'oneness' of all every particle every atom..every speck of energy...and from there to the entirity of the vast expanse into the absolute one with out a second..the one which fills all the space,is the very space,and that which transcends the space and time..the once that exists and nonexists and transcends both...and 'that is'....and this is the vedantic core.this is the meaning of 'tatwamasi'..this is the unified theory of religion/spirituality/science all in ine..there is no meaning of God other than this..It is this that is at the same time the krishna ,rama,jehova..or all...just like any form can be procuded of light..and light is the substratum. there is no 7, Rather as Sree Ramakrishna has said, as many religions are there as there are faiths in man..one can also believe that,one's parents,one's guru,one's work..or say the paddy field infront of you as God..and that shall turn God to you..as you seek so u r addressed..for it is the same divinity that vibrated and permeates everywhere..just like earth form the vessels, though vessels are many and earth is the same.

the oragaised/dogmatic religions  have themselves made shells around..which once broken, can reach this reality.

santhosh, I again agree with you. But here is what we are up against with the absolute knowledge of brahmavidhya:  

"the absolute knowledge of brahmavidhya" is where everything starts. One has to get to "there" before they can begin to learn the really interesting stuff. The reason that nothing is written that is beyond "the absolute knowledge of brahmavidhya" is because there are no words or pictures that can discribe that knowledge. The real problem is getting people through the stages that one has to go through to reach "the absolute knowledge of brahmavidhya" so that they can study under "God the Supreme", because only God the Supreme can teach one about the reality of God the Supreme.

The interesting thing about Lord Krishna and lesser others like Him is that He and they can take one gently through the stages as though one were just waking up into " the absolute knowledge of brahmavidhya" where all true knowledge starts. The key to this process is the union of loving hugs or embrace. If one is not willing to have a "heart to Heart" connection to the Divine, then nothing one does will work and one will over time get disappointed and quit. They will go through the motions, but they are nolonger seeking.

I have suggested to followers of Lord Krishna (and Christians ) over the years, that they should just give Lord Krishna (or Jesus) a "Loving hug." They said to me that they were not worthy enough to give Lord Krishna (or Jesus) a loving hug.

If nothing else Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God, was sacrificed to atone for the sins of all of mankind. So everybody who wishes to be, is sin free. So everybody/anybody who wishes to give Lord Krishna (or Jesus) a loving hug is worthy , to do that. After all, Lord Jesus, our Lord and Savior, is Lord Krishna's son. And a gift from Lord Krishna to all of mankind.

After all, I can give Lord Shiva a loving hug because i am worthy to do that thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So why can't anyone, truly seeking the Divine, be worthy enough to give any true Divine or all of the Divine a "loving hug" and have a "heart to Heart" connection to the Divine? Krishna's/Brahma's/Jehovah's Son made this possible for all of us.
