people say "I take the responsibility to take care of my family.. "

Is it responsibility?

or it should be the duty of the person to take care of his/her family...

what is your opinion ... what should be the duties and what should be the responsibilities...

DUTY - EXTERNALLY IMPOSED

RESPONSIBILITY - ACCEPTING WITH WILLINGNESS


SO IT IS MY DUTY TO WORK

BUT IT IS MY RESPOSIBILITY TO TAKE CARE OF MY FAMILIY

and it is your responsibility to take care of your your Family...

My dear friend... it is not your responsibiity... it is your duty to take care of them...

Your familiy... your friends... your life.... what ever is yours... is your duty and not responsibility...

You said you are responsible for what you accept with willingness..

but then who is responsible if you do not accept...

For example...  If you are walking on a road... and you saw a man cutting a tree...  Now its up to you either you can stop him from cutting the tree or you can simply pass by saying nothing to him...

in both the cases.... you are responsible....

if you stops him from cutting the tree... you become responisble for saving the tree...
and if you do not stop him... then you still are responsible for that tree...

so i dont think that respnsibity is just what you accept..

whatever happens in your surroundings... directly or indirectly you are responsible for it...

What I was trying to say is

Duty can be imposed on others but Responsibility cannot be imposed on others..

That why even the management lesson also says that "Authority can be delegated but responsibility cannot be delegated"

Responsibility is a kind of feeling but the duty is set of activity.

I am fully accepting that I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR happenings in my surroundings.. But no body can impose that on me..

I have to get that feel.
