In the past 3 months I have been opened up to my spirituality and the different paths of spirituality... I have been focusing on tuning up my psychic channels that I have always believed I've had...I've been practicing mindfulness of my higher self, and also talking to my angels and arch angels. Since this time, whenever I close my eyes, I see out of the blackness, a beautiful electric blue splotch of color. Sometimes it gets bigger and bigger, and sometimes it's even there if I open my eyes and I'm in a darkened room. What could this be?

Don't concentrate on the blue color/light/splotches. Instead look past it, beyond what is in front of you.  

That's wonderful.  I see that too (along with many other things), and it's beautiful.  I do believe it's a good sign, although I don't think it's necessary to figure out exactly what it means/is.  Just be happy that it's there, and just see how looking at it affects you for a while--if it makes you feel peaceful, happy, etc., just go with that, and let it happen without trying to analyze.

But I do think that LG is right, too.  Beautiful as they are, I think that the lights, colors, sparks, eyes, faces (just to name a few!) that one can see are less messages in themselves than ways to get your attention--to let you start thinking about, seeing, and feeling things in ways you never have before, to make you realize that there's always more, and (particularly at the beginning) to give you confidence that you're not "just imagining things."  As LG says, learn to look beyond them, and see how far beyond you'll be able to go (but take your time--there's no need to hurry).

(On the "getting your attention" part...I say that because a couple of years ago, when all this started happening, spontaneously, for me, the colors and lights and images were MUCH more vivid than they are now.  I definitely still seem them, but not always so clearly.  At first, I used to worry that that just meant I was "losing" whatever I'd been given; these days, again, I just believe that my attention was being drawn very directly to the fact that something was happening that wasn't like anything I'd experienced before, and that I'd better pay attention.  Now I'm being shown other things--more subtle, but PERHAPS more "important"/worth my attention.  The "fireworks" aren't so necessary any more.  But I do miss them sometimes!)
