My son was in bed with me this morning, he told me that he could see an angel. I asked him what the angel looked like he said the angel had dark red wings and dark red hands and had a dark green face. The Angel was as tall as my son who is 5 yrs old. I asked him to ask the Angel it's name he said no it will copy what I say. Would this Angel be a Guardian Angel?

Possibly... but the "repeating" leads me to believe it's simply an "imaginary friend". I would think if it was "real" it would have something to say; have conversation with your child. Just a thought.

That being said, red wings symbolize great power, typically belong to angels of high rank (Seraphim / angels that stay in God's court and don't have contact with humans). Guardian angels are chosen from the lower ranks, those in contact with humans.

It's just taken from earliest art and stories and the Bible itself. It's the closest thing to "fact" we really have, unless experienced different.
