How about surrendering to the *Now*, the present... Letting go is what surrender is all about not really to whom. Letting go of whatever holds you back from all you could be. Letting go of the curtain so the Light streams into you fully. Another way is to surrender to WHAT IS w/out fear or judgment. Just allowing & trusting that it is all well, no matter how it feels or seems.

I believe in God but my life lesson has been letting go, so I have learned it in many, many ways.

Please explain the above further.

I try to "surrender" every day...and it goes something like this...Every morning I ask God, Goddess, to " make my will their own....to let me live in their light and to do their will throughout my day"...not to say I always succeed but I try to live my life by seeing other's sides of views and to not get caught up too much in materialistic pursuits...and to trust that the universe is looking out for me...as I look out for it

I would also like to know what you mean by enlightenment being an ego trip....the truly enlightened I have met  seem to be extremely humble and loving...
