I didn't read through the thread and just picked up the end, but to me, religion and God are not necessarily tied together. Anyway, then the discussion takes a windy turn.

Whew, I have no idea where the previous posts will proceed. But hey, I think we are out of the main topic, aren't we?

Karma or destiny... personally I have no idea how we compare these two together. We should receive our good or bad Karma for whatever we have done before. In my opinion, we could change our destiny by moving to the right direction.
If your parents insist that your destiny is to be a doctor, and you want to be an artist, which destiny will you choose?

For me, I'll choose my own destiny.
