Greetings

While I was a child, I grew up with the idea that religion is what brings people together, yet as I grew older, I began to realize that religion is in fact keeping people apart.  Today there are so many different type of religions, and people tend to discriminate another religion apart from their own.  And to be honest, the more I started studying other religions, the more I became aware of the other face of religion.  The more I started to understand that religion today are what is controlling people's believes.  It mostly starts with your parents and their believes and that they want you to have the same believes as they do.  And soon, you are being taught their believes, them printing it into you, forcing it onto you.  Which is something that should've been your own choice to start with.  As I learned more about religion it made me decide that I do not want any religion to be a part of me.  I am an individual, and I know right from wrong.  And I do believe in a higher power that created all.  But this doesn't make me a Christian, because there are many things within Christianity that I do not agree with.  So many text that have been changed, to the advantage of the churches.  And people are realizing this and it is causing them to discriminate against this religion.  For much of it is false!  And Christianity is not the only religion, there are many others that are exactly the same, giving through false information.  I choose rather to just be a kindred spirit, living free with my own believes.  A free spirit!  Free from other's believes.  And until there are true evidence as to how we all were created, as there are none, I will keep on believing that there is a higher power that created all.  Evolution I definitely do not believe, how can I believe in such nonsense as the big bang theory, poof and all was created!  Evolution is just a theory!!!  There is no evidence that can change my choice in believing this theory.  There are too much detail in the whole creation, too many connections, the plants that was created, some we use to obtain food from, others we obtain for medical purposes etc.  So much detail, I just can't believe otherwise.  But my believes does not make me a Christian, nor any other religious name, because they lead a life of being controlled.  And because of my opinion of religion, I have learned not to judge another person for their believes.  I made the choice that no matter the differences in religion a person may have, they are all welcome as a friend of mine.  Getting together and enjoying experiences together no matter the differences.  I believe that no matter what type of religion you are a part of, you should be able to accept others as your equal.  Religion is one believe today, that are keeping so many people apart.  And by not learning how to live together, how will we be ever able to change the world into a better place?  I don't care what your religion is, because I accept you for who you are, for an individual.  So, my point is that through religion the 1st face, might bring some people together, but religion also have another face that is keeping all the people or individuals apart.  Any one who wants to shed some more info on the subject are more then welcome.  Please understand that it is not my intention to assault religious people here on Mystic Board.  I am posting this topic because I am able to accept   a individual, no matter what the religious background are, and visa versa.  I am not one to judge another!!!
You believe what you choose to believe.

Regards,

Greetings! It is my joy to be able to speak with you here and I know my words will be received in the right spirit. There are moments in my life, when my outer host is set aside, and I see but One Spirit and His many forms. All religions are welcome by me for I am nourished by them with words that become alive and you just want to tell everyone that it is so true. Easy now. Are job is to let our visions shape our lives. So, I'm not about buildings and all that and I am into the One Spirit. Many gifts one spirit. Many parts make up the body. All must be reconciled I believe. My opinion

Thank You and kindest regards.

I agree with you both.

Truth is greater than any religion

The differences in the teachings of the various religions are due largely to the inevitable spread and adoption over time of degraded and corrupted versions of the teachings in place of the original. Subsequent followers and students not being of the same high order as their Prophets, their understanding was less than perfect. Consequently, as they passed on to the succeeding students their flawed interpretations, the original and true divine teachings were effectively replaced or obscured. Further, aggravated by differences in language and culture caused by a lack of communication between the various peoples of the world, sad but true, misinformation and confusion is now pervasive and widespread.

However, with increased communication and racial integration, and as everyone of us continues to push forward in our development, all these differences will eventually be resolved and the real teachings will reemerge and come together, united in the One Truth.

Regardless however, the different religions represent the many faces of God and His divine teachings. To different people, God reveals Himself in different ways.To the Hindus, God lays stress on the knowledge of self in its various aspects. To the Shintoists and the Taoists, He teaches selflessness and simplicity. To the followers of Confucius, He stresses goodness and social service. To the Buddhists, He espouses a "Middle Way" of life. In addition, the realities of the spiritual worlds beyond Earth have largely been confirmed through the mystic experiences of the more advanced adepts belonging to both the Hindu and Buddhist faiths.

To the Jews, He is Yahweh, the One God with human attributes. And over the centuries, in line with the spiritual development of man, He became transformed, through the teachings of Jesus Christ, from the jealous and vengeful God of the Old Testament prophets, to the God of love and justice, truth and beauty of the present generation.

To the Muslims, He teaches the principles of mutual help, the furtherance of good and the repression of evil. Further, Allah enjoins that in their trials and hardships in life, the Muslims should predispose themselves to submit to His divine will. It is inferred here, of course, that Allah is all-powerful and just: that He loves us all; and like a good father to his children, He sends us only the very best. Therefore, we really should welcome or, at least, be resigned even to hardships and sorrows because although we may not understand now, they have a divine purpose under heaven, a counterpart spiritual benefit all according to His divine will.

And to the Christians and Spiritualists, God teaches His divine ways of love, righteousness and service. Also, to the Spiritualists and Spiritists, He clarifies and confirms the old eternal truths and spiritual realities, which until now have not been readily available to the greater masses of people.

In all of these religions, emphasis is on love, righteous living and the development of character. This is the essence of all religious teachings. This is what is important. And with righteousness, truth unfolds.

But in the pursuit of truth, no one and no religion has a monopoly, because there is truth in all. And in order to attain to the whole, we must draw from each of the parts. For all men are God’s children. We are, all of us, part and parcel of the One God. And nothing and no one exists outside God. We are one.

This is what Sufisim teaches.Love the humanity and do not  like or dislike people due to their relgons. That is why their names are still alive even after their deaths and their graves are visited by people od all religons for their spiritual blessings.I have seen people reciting Bible and Zarostrians and Hindus reciting the verses of their respective relgons on Sufi graves to attract their blessings. In Pakistan The tomb of Syed Ali Hajveri commonly known as Data Gunj Buksh who is also my Murshid or spiritual guide who had come to my city Lahore about a 1000 years ago is known for it.He has been helping me spiritually and blessing me in my dreams and in meditations. In Ajmer  India Khwaja Mion ud din Chishti ,is doing the same service to his devotees and his tomb is visited by people of all religons to take his blessings.
Once I remember Syed Ali Hajveri remarked to a question put on him that understandingly you are visited by good and pious people but why is so that you are beeing visited by theives pick pockets prostitutes all sorts of bad people .He replied smilngly only the dirty clothes come to laundry for cleaning.Every one embraces the good and wants to sit in their company but there should be some one to embrace them too and listen to their woes and help them.
