Something I wrote 'down' the day after Christmas 14 years ago, if you don't mind my posting here, perhaps a bit out of context of what this thread is or meant to be:

Jesus, Krishna, Rama and Buddha ...
Why are we humans so privileged,
that His essence may only reach us
within confines of mortal flesh
to spread His Light, we seek so hard??
And why do we need to be reminded,
so often and with such force?
That we are all ... every single one of us,
children of that very same GOD?
Why must those who CAN love so well,
pass more tests than those who won't?
Why must the lotus grow in a bed of filth?
Why must a Rose, the symbol of LOVE ...
wear always a mantle of thorns??

EVERY GREAT SOUL IS ALWAYS SHROUDED IN CONTROVERSY.
As far as the religion is concerned, lord Jesus, like most great souls just wanted his good words to be spread to the troubled people at those times. He never wanted to start a Religion, Christianity.
All religions are steeped in controversies, it is for us to take the best of each.
