I'm not sure I understand your question, but I will answer it as I understood it.

I don't know who I am. That is what I try to figure out everyday. Everyday I just try to be me, despite all that I may falter. In the end, it doesn't matter. We all play our roles in this grand painting. The thing is, some try to be more than they are, while some try to make less of others. Little do we know, we prove nothing to no one, less we be ourselves.

You speak like a man of compassion. Especially when you wrote "while some try to make less of others." Many years ago I had a spiritual crisis. I was perplexed and needed another's viewpoint. Who could I ask? I thought of just a few. Suddenly, the thought occurred to ask this one particular fellow. I thought no way that guy is dummer than a bunch of rocks. But I needed some sulution and gave way to the prompting even though my better senses said no. Well, I asked and he answered in just a few words and I was humbled by his wisdom and learned a very important lesson. My son who is only 5 years old has opened his mouth and you would say that this little fellow is a very, very old being. Well anyways, when you do discover who you really are than you will also see me as well.

You are very right! Illusions are misinterpretations of reality! They are not negation of reality! The rope was there really, but got misinterpreted as a snake!

Now hallucinations and delusions are something different and must not be mixed up with illusions or reality!
