How do you see Jesus and what makes you believe what you believe about him?

A curious question for you. I noticed this posted in another section. Are you trying to reach as many people with your question or do you feel that someone might miss it?

btw, it's not a slight at you. I really am curious. I used to do the same with my blog and then I deleted it because I figured if people are meant to read it, they'll find it.


Oh and to me, Jesus was just a man just as we all are. I believe the stories about him show what we can all be within ourselves if we so choose - that is, one who truly lives their life for others and not for oneself.

How about - all of the above, depending upon who you ask?

A guy who died on a cross to save all mankind from eternal damnation... provided you believe in him... which I don't, not really...

The thought that Christians are never going to be guilty because of of it, sort of... turns me off. I mean I'd rather be punished for my  own wrongdoings than have the entire army of believers walk away free because this guy from the past was disemboweled... It's kind of... scary. and somewhat unfair...

And I think the Bible causes Christians to hate the religion of the ones who executed him.... If I'm not wrong, it was Jew??? I watched movies about WW2, and felt really disgusted by the way they were treated... Just my opinion...

This is an interesting statement considering Jesus was a Jew.
