What's the general view towards established religion hereabouts and is it possible to believe in psychic phenomena or specific mystic practices and continue within one's religious tradition? |
Is it possible? YES! YES! YES!

Let me share.
I am Christian, base line links back to Catholic. Growing up (child ->early 20's) I could see (3rd eye and physically) "ghosts." I could see lower entities as well. I saw bouncing angel and aura lights, I had intensly strong intuition. As a child I could make objects move by just looking at them (can't do that now! darn) and I thought to myself each Sunday at church.......... "Something is wrong with me."
As I could not talk with my parents at the time about it, (now I can), I held it all in and when I hit my early 20's, entities and ghosts were as common a site to me as walking down the street and passing other strangers! I grew immensly terrified and could not fathom why I was cursed with this so it took me all of almost a year to close the "door" that allowed me to "see" ghosts. My intuition was still very high though and many other things but to make a long story just a tad shorter, eventually I was pulled back to my routes.
Without linking to that side of myself, I felt like something was missing. I did a lot of study and then began my spiritual ascent of meeting my inner soul, my guides, I asked Jesus for clarification on everything that I had seen, everything I wanted to believe in and he showed them to me.
What I decided to become and learned that I'd always been one was that of a Spiritualist. Spiritualists come from all walks of life, all different religions and beliefs but yet they study the same thing. They study the truths behind all of our existence, they study the unsceen worlds, the mystical beauty in guides, angels, entities, psychic awareness, ect.
You can find Spiritualist groups with leaders who are base line christian, budhist, or base line nothing at all, ect. I have embarked on a wonderful journey of learning all that is.
Basically, here is what I think.
I think that God has created multiple worlds of existence that we cannot even begin to tap on. Do you really think that someone as magnificent and great as he is stopped at something so simple and excuse the metaphor; black and white as that we come to earth, live, die and then go to heaven for eternity or hell and thats just it? Pardon me, but I've never been able to understand it or find it to make any since whatsoever and now that I've came back to my roots with the understanding that I can look into and research all that is and that I'm allowed to see; I have found that his creations are beyond what any organized religion could teach.
Organized religion is just that. It is organized and touches on the basis of God and creation but it only hits on a cookie crumb in my opinion. Organized religion is great to allow humanity to meet and see the lord but there are far to many religions that grab one "metaphor" and run with their own interpretations, teachings, bindings and fears. I love God and I love Jesus and I love all of his miraculous creations including the psychic realm (which is only you my dear tapping into your own souls contiousness), the spirit realm, my angels, my personal guides, reincarnation... oh the list could go on and on.
Follow your heart. Your heart leads you in the right direction. Ask God for guidance and in-site into the validity of your thoughts. He will speak to you and you'll need to do is listen. If he intends for you to be part of his expanded world, he'll let you know it.
Love and light. Take care now.
