I'm a Catholic.  I firmly believe in Jesus and in the Church.  I also, however, am open to the notion of ghosts, something that flies in the face of most theological teaching.  I also believe there may be something to esp, etc., which may or may not be contrary or problematic.  What's the general view towards established religion hereabouts and is it possible to believe in psychic phenomena or specific mystic practices and continue within one's religious tradition?

Hi! I wanted to know the same thing. I am studying the tarot and numerology at this time. I also starting to read Tao Te Ching. Many people have told me that anything other than the bible and it's words are evil or the work of the devil. I have been told that the fruit Eve picked was the occult and that's why women are more into it than men. My thing is some people that are "God fearing" steal lie rob kill and everything in between and then show up to church on Sunday morning. They turn there nose up at me, who troubles no one and tries anything to make myself a better person and help the man behind me.
In the early 1900 wasn't there something called Calvinism which said that when you were born you were it was already decided were you were going. Also only the wealthy or well off could go. So when you were born and poor you go to hell and the only way to correct this was to work hard and become wealthy to get pardoned into heaven. At one point in time weren't slaves unable to go to church because they had no God. Crap!!! People fear what they don't know and understand and make things fit their mold so they can go to sleep at night.
I have never met a ghost and I fear them because I don't know what to expect. I was raised a Seven Day Adventist and they have a strict code to live by. I don't know who is right but I do what I feel is right at the time. I can always change my mind because I keep my mind open to everything. I thank God, I pray to God. I thank God for any insight  Numerology the Tarot or Tao Te Ching gives me. He put them here for us to use and become complete human beings. I am sure there is a Catholic scientist cloning away something somewhere. Christmas, shouldnt it be spent a little bit more spirtual than rushing to the christmas tree to open up gifts you went in to debt to buy. Keep yourself open so you won't have to contradict yourself or be a hypocrite.

Hope I that was helpful. Keep your relationship with God and he will keep his with you.

Is it possible? YES! YES! YES!    Let me share.

I am Christian, base line links back to Catholic.  Growing up (child ->early 20's) I could see (3rd eye and physically) "ghosts."  I could see lower entities as well.  I saw bouncing angel and aura lights, I had intensly strong intuition.  As a child I could make objects move by just looking at them (can't do that now! darn) and I thought to myself each Sunday at church..........  "Something is wrong with me."

As I could not talk with my parents at the time about it, (now I can), I held it all in and when I hit my early 20's, entities and ghosts were as common a site to me as walking down the street and passing other strangers!  I grew immensly terrified and could not fathom why I was cursed with this so it took me all of almost a year to close the "door" that allowed me to "see" ghosts.  My intuition was still very high though and many other things but to make a long story just a tad shorter, eventually I was pulled back to my routes.

Without linking to that side of myself, I felt like something was missing.  I did a lot of study and then began my spiritual ascent of meeting my inner soul, my guides, I asked Jesus for clarification on everything that I had seen, everything I wanted to believe in and he showed them to me.

What I decided to become and learned that I'd always been one was that of a Spiritualist.  Spiritualists come from all walks of life, all different religions and beliefs but yet they study the same thing. They study the truths behind all of our existence, they study the unsceen worlds, the mystical beauty in guides, angels, entities, psychic awareness, ect.

You can find Spiritualist groups with leaders who are base line christian, budhist, or base line nothing at all, ect.    I have embarked on a wonderful journey of learning all that is.

Basically, here is what I think.  I think that God has created multiple worlds of existence that we cannot even begin to tap on.  Do you really think that someone as magnificent and great as he is stopped at something so simple and excuse the metaphor; black and white as that we come to earth, live, die and then go to heaven for eternity or hell and thats just it?  Pardon me, but I've never been able to understand it or find it to make any since whatsoever and now that I've came back to my roots with the understanding that I can look into and research all that is and that I'm allowed to see; I have found that his creations are beyond what any organized religion could teach.

Organized religion is just that.  It is organized and touches on the basis of God and creation but it only hits on a cookie crumb in my opinion.  Organized religion is great to allow humanity to meet and see the lord but there are far to many religions that grab one "metaphor" and run with their own interpretations, teachings, bindings and fears.  I love God and I love Jesus and I love all of his miraculous creations including the psychic realm (which is only you my dear tapping into your own souls contiousness), the spirit realm, my angels, my personal guides, reincarnation... oh the list could go on and on.

Follow your heart.  Your heart leads you in the right direction.  Ask God for guidance and in-site into the validity of your thoughts. He will speak to you and you'll need to do is listen.  If he intends for you to be part of his expanded world, he'll let you know it.
Love and light.  Take care now.

Absolutely YES!!!!!!!!!!  Jesus was called God's only son because at that time he was the only Heavenly being (Angel) in Human form. He has tried to teach others how to communicate with your Heavenly beings. Being Guardian Angels, Archangels, Heavenly Spirit Guides (your personal guides and general guides). Jesus also came here to teach that the spirit of life and your soul are directly linked to Heaven, even if your destiny is as in Human form. I could go on and on forever about this subject as this is also what I am here to teach. I know for a fact that I am a Heavenly Angel in Human form. Have faith in your soul as you in your self are connected to God the way God intended, not the way humans intervene in Heavenly rights. To be Christian is to believe and have faith in what Jesus taught...Miracles and Blessings. To my true nature a miracle is everyday life as I know it spiritually. In human life, miracles are an everyday occurrence, you need to be in tune with yourself and the white light in order to see them or feel them.
It is like the radio. There are many different frequencies. Humans can only listen to one station at a time but does that mean the others don't exist? No, they are all there and all playing at the same time , simultaneously to each other. The one you choose is up to you. If you don't like it you may change. If it doesn't feel right you will change it. It it fits like a glove so to speak, you will comfortable, at home, at peace and happy. May your journey in Jesus name be as beautiful as Jesus.
By the way, I don't believe for one instance that Jesus is terribly happy with the way people are using his name for their greed but we all know it was meant to happen. For two thousand years anyway.

May Love and Light Shine Bightly Upon and Within you Forever, Amen.

Love from
Libby

Also Catholic Leaders have not been faithful to God or to Jesus really, nor have most other religions. They talk of Angels and Miracles and Blessings and God but don't practice their communication. They also teach people that God is with them and on the other hand teach he is out their reach, you have to prove yourself worthy before he will come to you. This is not true.  Take what you need from church and when you know in your heart it doesn't feel real then you can put that aside. To me Heaven is real and everything else is an illusion. Heaven on Earth is more real than anything. Have faith and enjoy life, the way Heaven intended.

I find that most of those who call themselves Christians only do so to make it look that they believe when the majority use it as a crutch to allow someone else to take the blame when something goes wrong or right. If you believe in a higher being do you really have to label it spirituality is within each and every one and it seems that the only ones who truly believe are those of who practice alternate mainstream spirituality and not religion. Religion as the Christians and Catholics, Huslims, Jews always have to go to war and kill over their beliefs. So it doesen't matter what mainstream label you use you have created a path only you can follow and your belief in a greater power is yours alone and no one can take that from you.
One of my favorite quotes is "A mind is like a parachute it must be open to work" and most of the so called religions keep theirs closed.
We are unique beings with the free will to believe in whatever you choose, so placing that label makes one feel comfotable then they sould do so and far be it to say it is wrong to do so.
