I also struggled with these issues. But the Bible is also full of men who did miracles people who turned away from Earthly power and authority who were then given spiritual power to help Gods children, Jesus said all of these things I have done you will do and more if you have the faith even as small as a mustard seed. Discernment of spirits is one of the gifts mentioned. To my way of thinking the only difference between a witch and a prophet in the Bible is who they are asking, God or a lesser spirit, Are you trying to help others or garner wealth and power for yourself? Trying to stroke the ole Ego or help Gods children. the word that is translated as prophet means seer. One who sees spirits. Holy men or women in the Native American these are medicine people in the Bible they are prophets. Help his children use your gifts for him rememeber they are from him and you will be fine. I hope this helps but check look back read of the things the old and new testament prophets did look what Jesus did. And what he tolds his desciples. The Churches today don't teach these things but they are there. Be sure tho that you are not seeking power that is not the way. Also keep in mind all the medicine people I know or have heard of had a very hard time in life the same holds true in the Bible this mystic way is difficult you have to be able to deal with life and problem sand still have compassion for the people. Still be able to laugh even when faced with seemingly insurmountable problems but you will know and see Gods hand in your life you will see these stories in the Bible enacted in your own life. You will know!! This takes a lot of courage and faith. God bless and keep you!
