Crystal Runes

In ancient times, runes were carved out of wood or stones as they were actively energetic.
In recent times, runes are also carved out of crystals, which emanate energy. Different crystal sets can be used depending on the people who will be using them.

Some of them are:

Tiger's Eye: good for clearing nightmares

Amethyst: good for concentration and achievemnt of goals

Sodalite: for an emotionally oversensitive individual

Personally, I have always tended to steer clear of "emotionally over sensitive individuals" so sodalite wouldn't be for me. What? I am being honest here. lol.

I have read that some feel that the crystalline energy of the runes is not always compatible with the energy associated with the rune. Which is why wood is the medium of choice for many runecasters, in that the wood itself is active and the runic symbol tweaks each individual rune as required. But I also believe that the runes (regardless of medium) in the hands of one committed to hearing their message will speak and their energy will be apparent.

I have seen some lovely type of shells as runes,is it ok to use runes made from shells? I am thinking it probably doesnt matter what they`re made from?!
