Rune spells

Runes can also be used in magick to cast spells, charms or curse. This can be used for the betterment of a person too.

There is considerable difference. Wood is considered the superior form, having come from living trees (trees having been of both spiritual and temporal importance to the Germanic people who developed the runes). After that, stones are considered the next best source. (Stones can include crystal and gems). Stones that have an energy to them are more preferable, such as stones at the bottom of a bubbling creek. Wood is, however, the source, although I've used pewter with success, as well.

There are also lots of books if you wanted to read about Runes. The one I started off on is "Rune Magic" The History and Practice of Ancient Runic Traditions by Nigel Pennick. There are many other books on Runes so don't just get one get a thew from different authers so you don't get a bias oppinion on how to read Runes. Hope this helped
