The Emperor card is similiar to the magician, except that it represents older and wiser knowledge. It helps balance the conscious mind and its material goods.

Ruled by the sign of Aries. usually an older male an authority figure type person or boss. Someone who is concerned with status achievements and recognition. Can represent a partner who is bascially reliable and honest but occasionally has bouts of bad temper. It's all about wanting your hard work to pay off and reach your goals.

But the Emperor is always portrayed with a big scowl on his face, cos like 95% of the male population they are not very good at verbalising or showing their emotions

Not much details: the situation is clear. Power, he controls, he rules, and because i see him sitting on an elevated chair, he overlooks the situation. Has his word to say and that will be it. So if oneself is in that situation we better be good and wise in order to make the right decisions.
