This card shows a young man sitting alone by a tree feeling very sorry for himself. He is so absorbed in his own little world that he doesn’t notice the hand that is being offered to him.

He has just given up on life. He could have a happy and contented life if only he would take the help or even acknowledge that help is being offered. Look around and find a way out of this rut that you are in at the moment.

Feeling sorry your yourself.

Refusing help. Help is there if you care to look hard enough.
Not seeing the wood for the trees.

IN all my readings when this card comes up, it has always meant (for me anyhow) that there has been an offer made to which you refuse to accept.
or will be depending on the position
