Well, you ask yourself an excellent question
No, they are different.
Your
purpose comprises those spiritual lessons that your soul has already learned (through previous lives and this one) and wants to share with others.
On the other end, your
karma is those spiritual lessons that are yet to be learned by your soul and desires to do so. Karma varies from soul to soul but all souls have karma.
Everyone has them both in their lives. You have a purpose
and a karma
The reason why karma exists, is for all souls to genuinely learn to express Unconditional Love for self and others.
Now, this for some, take many lives while others manage to do it in only one. The speed at which that knowledge of Unconditional Love is attained is quite secondary to the goal.
As long as you have the desire to reach Unconditional Love, that's what matters and yes, depending on the authenticity and strength of your desire, you will reach there quicker.
Karma is really linked to another Law which is called Dharma. In the East that how they call it.
Dharma , in short , is the Divine Design for you.So karma is here to help you follow Dharma
What if someone resists their karma?
Well, then one suffers…
A lot of people tend to accuse others for their troubles, especially in relationships but rarely do they admit to themselves that they have in some way a part to play in that. Those who know the Law of attraction know that whatever "bad person" that came to you , you invited them in some way, some time by thinking deeply about them or behaving like them. You may have done it in a previous life or unconsciously in this one but you definitely made the order.
Besides, one suffers not because you're being punished (contrary to popular belief) but to remind one of the need to constantly learn.
Allow me to clarify that :
"NO PROGRESSION IS RETROGRESSION!"
Nature doesn't allow nothing to stay motionless, everything moves; you included. In which direction you decide to go and at what speed are other questions; yours to ask to yourself…
We are constantly given opportunities to better our karma (or if you want to learn our lessons) and these opportunities are called by some people "problems"
Over and over again you will be given occasions to learn your lessons (in this life and the next) till you are able to look at "your problems" and bless them as "opportunities for growth". Unless you are able to do that, you will always attract the same kind of "problems".
I am sure some of you are familiar of cases where people meet, get together and marry, divorce and then run to get somebody else only to find out that they have the same characteristics than the previous one they left a while back , sometimes disguised in another form. Some people do that endlessly without bothering themselves to better the state of their souls and to without bothering understand why.
For those who want to understand why, I am sure by now you can
While we are at it, you may also want to ask:
"What is a soul mate?"
Despite many attempts to define that term; I will choose a simple one:
A soul mate is somebody who grows YOUR capacity to love.
Hence the term "soul mate" . They are not interested in anything else than to help your soul's Life grow, live and multiply.
Your soul mate is not "only" your husband or your wife as it is widely thought. That's true that during a lifetime, you may share quite a lot with your partner or spouse and that's maybe where you will be given many opportunities to do so but there are plenty others for opportunities are endless. Love is everywhere, isn't it?
You already know that the end "destination" is "Unconditional Love".
And whoever helps you to reach it quicker in the right way , without forcing, is (and should be) "welcomed".
Is everyone karma centered in their love life?
Not everyone's; but many.
One of the reasons behind this, is because the great lesson is about LOVE and many of us haven't understood it all. LOVE is manifold and you will have to experience that as a spouse, as a parent, as a teacher, as a student and under many other "roles". All those roles too are quite secondary to the goal.
Karma is always found in those areas of your life where you experience the most painful conditions. It carries on lifetime to lifetime and that's the only point that your purpose and your karma have in common. They follow you wherever you go and that's because they are inherent to your soul. In that manner, every soul struggles in some areas and shines in others.
