I found this curious. Why wouldn't they have souls? From a non-athiest..to me I've thought..maybe they have souls to "record" how we treat them, that is if the soul's purpose is to record our lives here, the lessons, pains experienced?

I used to be a cannibal in a past life and al was a friend, I ran out of flava beans though the chianti was very good.
