Working with Reiki energy is simple, it goes where it is needed.
An SCI would not change the way the Reiki energy would work. The only time anyone needs to use caution with Reiki that I can think of, is with a fracture because you don't want a healing to occur if the bone is misaligned.
I use Reiki frequently, on myself, my family and clients that come to my home for Reiki.
I have also used Reiki in the emergency room where I work. One time I used Reiki on a patient that was having a stroke. She came in by ambulance and could not speak or move anything on her right side. I began to do Reiki on her immediately and after about 10 minutes, while the doctor was there, she began to talk and move her extremities. I had never used Reiki in this setting before (meaning a stroke patient), and when I asked the doctor what he thought about her remarkable turn around, all he said was "I don't know what happened, but it certainly wasn't anything I did!" I just smiled and continued to get her ready to transfer to another facility....
Can I say it was the Reiki? No
Can I say it wasn't the Reiki? No
Another time, same thing, at work in the ER, a little girl came in after a sledding accident. Although the CT scan was "negative", I was sensing a brain bleed, an intuitive gut feeling and could sense it in my hands when I was over her forehead. Received a call from radiology within minutes, stating they were wrong, there was a bleed, small, but definately there.
The master I took Reiki with, always says, you can take Reiki as far as you want it to go, it knows no limits. Pretty incredible.
