I am currently studying Reiki 1. To learn about it and 2. to help me channel the energy better without depleting my own which is something I used to do until maybe a few months ago when I realized I could borrow the energy around me, since it’s continuous, without feeling exhausted afterwards.
Something weird happened today, I did a little bit of reading on the second level reiki, read a chapter on the first crusade and decided to practice grounding myself which I need to remind myself constantly and take some energy from the earth and my surroundings instead of myself. I’m no stranger to grounding – I do this at night time before bed as a form of relaxation, I’ve done this for a long time without realizing why, and always thought it was probably out of curiosity of the imagination more than the body’s need to feel that grounding until recently.
Needless to say, I’ve gone deeper into my grounding when I do it and today I am not sure if I went a little too far. When I do this I usually I ground myself deep into the earth, each time I get more bold and go a little further and today for a little reenergizing I think I lost a bit of control and was unable to stop. I found myself in the hot molten center of the earth, and it seemed like everything just decided to do what it wanted to do because suddenly a string went from I guess you would call it the sacral and made its way through the other side of the earth and then wrapped itself around the earth back into the hole I dug and went into my head, almost like I had become a pendulum or a trinket on a necklace. What happened next would make a pretty neat roller coaster, and I have balance issues to begin with so this has now effected my balance (neurological disorder - I have nerve damage in the brain stem), but I started spinning in and out of the earth like someone had a string around their finger with a rock (Me being the rock) and started spinning it really fast until it slowed down and I was left in molten center once again. What happened next was I started sprouting, but I wasn’t organic I was crystals, mainly clear crystals so I imagine quartz, some were amethyst, some smoky looking crystal and pinkish coloured ones. After the sprouting finished some electrical or magnetic thing happened from the crystal where it /I heated up and started sprouting again, this time in energy generated roots which I became and once again began sprouting throughout the earth like one big eco system but it went further out spreading through and up the earth like it was wrapped through it and around it and into the ocean breaking through to apparently what seemed to be like multitudes of underwater mini-volcanoes, but they weren’t volcanoes. It was like the earth had corks, some sort of ventilation system in the bottom of the ocean and I popped those corks and steam from the center of the earth was coming out of them into the ocean. I hope I am explaining myself clearly… nevertheless this was not energizing but tiring and dizzying and leaving me wondering. However, while experiencing this I felt very connected and felt like I was trying to connect to anything and everything like a giant network.
So my question is what the heck happened and where did I go wrong or is there nothing wrong with this at all?
Sounds nuts, but whatever.. I’m sending it out there to get some answers and perhaps see if anyone else has experienced this and perhaps some insight on what any of this means if anything at all. In the meantime, I’m going to head out and fix someone’s pc .. and I’ll check back later. Thanks

You don't sound nuts at all. What you have described is a type of energy exercise I use, I don't see it as grounding though rather the opposite lol. By 'grounding' I think you mean stabilizing and earthing not actually grounding and connecting to the energy?
If you pursue this exercise further and expand your knowledge of the crystalline matrix you will find that you have a universe of crystal energy at your disposal Wonderful xxx

Well, I'm sure you have friends who are skeptical and find it uncomfortable or hard to discuss things like this to them without them looking at you like you're a little nuts.. haha... Although I feel comfortable discussing stuff like this because it's quite natural, I still feel like there will always be skepticism, even I can be skeptical and I'm a believer! Hence why someone might think I'm nuts writing what I experienced yesterday. However, I've made believers out of non-believers.. still skepticism exists.
Anyway, I had done it to re-energize since I need to practice that and get out of the bad habit of using my own. I usually use it for grounding in the context of earthiness, comfort, the sensation of being one with all that surrounds me... it's soothing and it helps me sleep at night. I incorporated it with the intention of drawing energy and went for that little joy ride so to speak.
You mentioned crystalline matrix... I told you I'm a bit inept when it comes to crystals... so I guess after Reiki.. I'll do some reading up on that. I have too many books I'm reading right now between the Crusades, Reiki, Project Management and Tai Chi. Would you be able to suggest any links?
Oh, and I tried a little Reiki on my friends cat, it scared the daylights out of him.. He was sleeping and I had my hand over him and he jumped up, banged into my hand, took off, drank some water and came back for more. It was pretty funny and we all got a good laugh.
Thanks

Hi Angelique,
I don't think yor crazy either. I like talking about this kind of thing too, but, not so much when people look at you like you have 10 heads.. ha ha ha. anyway, I like what Gem had to say, except that this expereince left you tired and dizzy. I felt when I read your posts that you grounded into the earth alright, you grounded right into the workings of the earth, but you expereinced something many people would never have the guts to go threw with. You saw and felt what it was like to do all those things that mother earth does every day in all the years she has been here, and you got to feel what makes her tick, and hear her heart beat through her crystals that she makes. I am suprised that you did not feel tired and dizzy for many days after that. But you did get a taste of what it feels like to let another energy flow threw you, only in a huge dose. Maybe, if it should happen agan, you should say Shanti in your thought, so that the energy will be allittle softer, and gentler.
Animals love Reiki, as they have no belief system, only they reconize the energy as love, and will take what they need, and walk away. I think you are doing great, although you sound like you have a million things going on. Blessings to you... Ellie

Oh, I still do feel tired and dizzy.. but I think the dizzy part has more to do with the barometric pressure which effects my balance. Unfortunately, everything effects my balance especially the unavoidable stuff. Though I concentrate every day on trying to rewire my brain to repair the nerve damage...
But yes, the experience was quite interesting to say the least.. it was a joy ride and I'm a bit of a dare devil so I went with it. I'm sure if I attempted to reject it I would have never experienced it. I may try it again for giggles and shits and probably soon since I am already dizzy and tired.. I may as well let it last a little longer. Though this time I will try the shanti as you suggested and see if that helps. Thank you for the suggestion.
Million things? ::smiles:: My mind never stops, I'm like a sponge who needs to learn every nook and cranny of knowledge (all things) and then some!
God bless, Ellie!
