I am intrigued now, is this anything like Menieres?

Yep, like Meniere's but they say it isn't. I have tinnitus and all, except I don't have Meniere's disease.  In fact I had specifically asked if it was Meniere's disease, they said no and they didn't have a name for it at all other than I have nerve damage in my brain stem - cause unknown. I was mostly deaf as a child and had a few operations to get my hearing back - I had it all back by the time I was 8 or 9 and I hear better than the average person 15 decibels in my left ear, 10 in my right - the average hears 20. The tinnitus drowns it all out though. So they are not sure if this is a result of my hearing problems as a child, if a virus caused it, like a cold or something, a knock to the head, breaking my tail bone, shifting my coscix and crushing a couple of vertebrae; a sudden jolt.. they have no clue. I personally think it was a bug I had and the doctors did not treat it properly since my ears have always been an issue and a weakness, this is the end result.

I had started having balance issues when I went on planes and anything pressurized, like skyscrapers, underground tunnels, mountains when I was a teenager; but that was usually the cause. None of the meds they tried on me ever worked and I prefer not to take anything anyway, so that worked out great. I'd say about 5 years ago they would just happen out of the blue and last for months instead of weeks, without provocation and it took four years of hiring and firing doctors to get to the bottom of it. They can't do anything for me, but it gave me peace of mind to know what was wrong.

I am amazed, because you have so described Menieres to a tee!  Have you tried travel sickness pills? I am sure you have. Crystals can help with tinnitis too. Dioptase is very good and Betahistine Hydrochloride which helps to reduce the pressure in the ears and so lessens the noise. Its a right pain!

Yep... but it isn'. I've tried everything, those prescribed and over the counter, even ginger was suggested by someone. Nothing works and that's fine and it's no big deal. My biggest issue during the time was what was the cause? Now that I know, I am ok with it.

I am going to have to save this link just for the suggestions on crystals alone. Although I was planning on learning about crystals in the future, can't hurt to try them on my balance and tinnitus. And I just so happened to stumble upon a shop last night which recently opened, and was closed, during a nice walk at the harbour. So I'll probably be heading there when I start on this new learning experience.

I think I know the difference between earthing and grounding....nice try but I am not fooled easily.....^_^
