Hi,
I'd like to request for a reading...the points I'd love some insight on are:
*love = anything you can sense at all about my love life? I have a problem in particular but I've read on the forums that its not possible to read another person's intentions, which is what I wish to learn. The man that I love and I have lost contact and I was wondering if there is any hope left
*career = I'm thinking of starting a particular type of business kind of like a partnership with someone who designs clothes, will it be fruitful or just a waste of time/money?
*social = I'm thinking of joining a sorority, will this prove beneficial to me in the future or is it a big mistake? also, I actually rushed last year and got in, but I had to decline due to personal reasons. I actually wish to get a bid from the same sorority...would you be able to see if I have a shot with them again?

thank you so much in advance

Dear Princess,

Firstly may I be one of the first to welcome you to this website, and in particular to the Psychic Reading forum itself?

You have presented me with quite a long list of possible options from which to select as a basis for your first reading with us (which is OK with me), but unfortunately this necessarily means that two of them will have to wait for a future reading to be given further down the line.

Because of the third party reading restriction which you are obviously already aware of, I am unable to directly read his thoughts and intentions towards you in order to determine whether or not there is any future for the both of you as a couple.

As for the career reading, I would require further information (including confirming that your date of birth as displayed in your forum profile is correct) before I would be able to give you any insights as to whether your plans to go into a clothing design business are likely to be fruitful, would instead be a complete waste of time (your words: not mine).

I therefore feel that as I do not wish to create any further unnecessary delays in giving you the reading for which you are eligible while waiting for further information about the career reading or waiting for you to modify your love reading question so that I could not be accused of going the third party route, that this month's effort will be focussed exclusively on you joining the sorority.

One thing I immediately noticed which is also in your career question and also implied without you actually writing it in your love reading request was that you appear to think only in extremes. Either any future relationship with this man is meant to happen regardless of what he thinks or feels, or it is completely out of the question. Your plans to go into a clothing design business are either to be completely successful or they will alternately be a complete waste of time. And in the matter of your sorority question, either your decision will be completely beneficial to you in the future, or it will be a major mistake. There is nothing in between the opposites?

Now I do not know whether you are consciously aware of this tendency of yours to make every question into a YES or NO one, but I have observed that you do not seem particularly interested in what might lie between the two extreme positions.

Quote:
Yes and No questions are very hard to answer successfully with any reading.

For example have you considered the distinct possibility that joining this sorority house may have both its advantages and disadvantages, rather than it being on one hand entirely beneficial and without any possible downsides, or on the other hand being a complete mistake which has no potential upsides to it?

When looking at what you have written in terms of opposite pairs of extremes, the Tarot card which immediately sprung to my mind and which I believe is both relevant and helpful in the direction of answering your sorority house question to your satisfaction must surely be the Two of Wands (TOW).

The TOW has often been referred to by many readers as being the "waiting until your ship comes in" card.

A man wearing a robe stands between two vertical poles or wands on top of a small rise in the ground which is not big enough to call a hill, looking out towards the distant horizon over a body of water. He is obviously having to make an important decision between a pair of opposites. The number two in the Tarot is thought to hi-light the duality of our existence. Duality is the idea that everything in this world and life consists of a pair of opposites.

There is a fine line to be drawn between love and hate, and also between genius and insanity. Indeed each member of the pair of extreme opposites could not exist without its partner.  How does anyone ever truly experience the pure joy of feeling loved for being the person whom they already are if they have never been lonely for comparison? How can someone know what or who is really important to them, until they lose it or their loved one? How does anyone learn the true value of the money he or she has, without ever not having enough of it in the past?

Your important decision for the moment is whether or not to join this sorority house. Before you seem willing to decide between joining or not joining it, you appear to be looking for guarantees that if you do go ahead and join it, that it will all be plain sailing from then on, and you will never have to deal with the unavoidable fact that whenever two or more human beings live under the same roof for more than one day at a time (or some would say one hour), conflicts, disagreements and clashes of their different personalities and interests (especially about which man belongs to which sonority sister) are inevitable.

There is nothing therefore in your reading which suggests to me that if you do join the sorority house that it will have no advantages to you at all (it will be a big mistake). There is also nothing in your reading which guarantees that if you do not join the sorority house that your whole life will be ruined as a result of you not doing so. Your world is not going to come to a screeching halt or sudden end if you do not join your sonority sisters, but there may be some advantages to it in spite of any conflicts or disagreements you have with the existing residents.

Just like the man shown on the face of the TOW, your stare is focussed too far into the distant future, looking for a sign that will tell you with 100% certainty whether or not to join or not join the sorority. In your own unique way of looking at the world around you and the people living in it, this is either going to be a BLACK or a WHITE decision which needs to effectively be made by yesterday.

The ship which you are waiting impatiently to sail into your harbour is a rock solid 100% complete guarantee that living in the sorority house will be entirely without its problems. Since there are never absolute guarantees or ships which are likely to ever arrive in your harbour, if you continue to wait for your symbolic ship indefinitely, you are unknowingly setting yourself up for life of constant disappointment and loneliness and possibly regret for not having had the courage to give both joining the sonority and yourself a fair go.

Would it be a total disaster or waste of time if you joined it, then it did not work out as well as you hoped that it might? Would it be the end of your life if it became clear that you could not continue to live there, and had to resign after admitting that you might have made your original decision without first having all of the relevant information handy?

What have you really got to lose other than your apparent need for 100% guarantees before you are willing to take any action or your pride becoming hurt because you could not accurately foresee every single problem which living in a sorority house could potentially present you with?

This reading advises you to go ahead and join the sonority, and give it at least a full six month trial. If at the end of that trial run you decide to leave after all (and there is no prediction that this must happen this way), you can at least take comfort in knowing that you are now a stronger and wiser person, as a direct result of having completed the trial.

You may also in the process gain greater understanding as to why feeling that you are in the correct sorority house is so important to you, when there are so many other factors which could equally decide your future, which you are overlooking in your attempt not to make a mistake.

I sense that whether or not you do eventually decide to join the sorority, and whether or not you remain living there once the initial six month trial period has expired, looking at the bigger picture of your life as a whole, it is going to have an almost undetectable or unmeasurable, trivial to zero effect on your growth and development as both a spiritual and human being.

In the general overall scheme of things or the plan which the Universe still has for your current lifetime, whether or not you ultimately join and/or remain living in the sorority house after the first six months is up is of little or no consequence.

But your apparent unwillingness to not take any calculated risks at all in your life (with the sorority decision being the most immediate one which needs to be made) without first having an absolute guarantee that there will not be further challenges ahead for you after deciding, could be very significant and damaging over the longer term to your growth, development, self confidence, self respect, happiness and success in this life.

Respectfully yours,

EoT

Princess,

You are welcome for the reading and looking at things only in terms of black and white is a character tendency of yours, and not necessarily yet an established habit.

We all do this at times, especially when we are pressuring ourselves into making our decision on the spot, without properly thinking it through first.

No, but I was not looking at what happened last year.

Your reading is involved only with the present and the future.

Your question was not asking about what did or did not happen when you had to leave the sorority house after having already accepted membership, for personal reasons.

You were instead asking my source what were the chances of you getting another bid from the same sorority house this year.

Because readings are commonly thought to refer to approximately the next six months after your request has been made, this year has been modified to between now and the latter half of February 2012.
