Dear EOT

I hope and trust this finds you in good health. May I ask a favour? For a number of reasons, I believe I may lose my job. Wondering if you have any insight- you can ask this as you prefer/suits you , as I see others have mentioned importance of allowing u that flexibility. Which is find for me- if oblige to my query (thanks in advance if you do)

Thank you once again

Hey Cali,

I greatly appreciate you allowing me the space and flexibility which I require for doing a reading.

There was not however enough information for you coming through during the reading, for me to be able to offer you any useful insights concerning whether or not you will lose your job during the next six months covered by my effort. That should perhaps be any insights which I feel are reliable enough for you to base your future plans upon.

Your reading was more involved with the urgent need for you to have a backup or contingency plan A, B and possibly even a plan C, just in case it does turn out that you become unemployed in the immediate future.

I do not know and contrary to popular opinion about readers cannot read your mind in order to determine what solid evidence you have that suggests that your job is about to become history, but worrying yourself sick about the possibility that it might happen is not going to help you one little bit.

While you are not being asked to inevitably expect the worst will happen, it would be most unwise to deny that it is possible. I feel that many valuable and hard working people are being fired or retrenched these days using the global financial crisis as a convenient excuse to be able to maximize company profits, instead of for the right reasons to get rid of dead wood and to get a better staff balance.

Whichever way it eventually turns out (I cannot predict this), do not give your employer any further excuses to get rid of you, than he or she already has.

If you start looking for another more secure and better paying position (and if you do not do this then you are putting yourself at great risk), do it in such a manner that the efficiency of your work at your current job does not suffer as a result.

Do not at the other extreme attempt to hide it from your boss that you are looking elsewhere to protect yourself and any dependents, as he or she will feel betrayed if you do. If you do get canned, then it is in your best interests to keep your relationship with your boss as pleasant as it can be for as long as possible. You could be needing a good character reference from him to take with you to the next job interview.

Doing what you are reasonably and practically able with the positive intention to help yourself to protect your own future security and income IS a sign of good character. This will count for you, instead of against you later. Qualifications and relevant past work experience are not everything when it comes to companies deciding if you would be an asset to them.

Make whatever money you already have work more efficiently for you, and look for special low risk but relatively high rate of return investment opportunities, to maximize your ability to survive a period of you being out of work.

All investments involve some degree or element of risk to be taken. The secret is to make what risks you do take calculated or planned ones, rather than doing something foolish and on the spot, and potentially blowing your remaining bank balance out of the water in the process.

They often tell you that as one door of opportunity closes, another opens to you to take its place. Your reading is encouraging you to have the key ready when that door eventually opens itself to you, hopefully during the next few weeks after you collect your final pay out from the job which you have now. Do you have any annual leave still owing to you that could be paid pro rata as part of your termination package? Look into what would happen with your superannuation.

Keep yourself busy actively doing things which could give you the greatest possible advantage over any other applicants applying for the same position as yourself. This will necessarily leave you with far less time to be worrying or negatively imagining yourself into a hospital bed or premature grave.

Take good care of your health from now on, as your body's immune system is listening intently to your most regularly and strongly held subconscious thoughts and fears about your future, and will protect or not protect you according to what it hears you are saying to yourself are your chances of a better life.

God bless,

EoT
