HI, I'm not sure if my question is out of place and I might sound stupid but what is an Akashic Records Reading or Akashic Reading?  I see many request for that but what is it?  Can I get an Akashic reading just to get an idea of what it is?

You don't sound stupid at all. Let me explain a little about what kind of Akashic readings I give, and see if that helps

The Akasha is all around us, it is the energy of thought, it is the compassion and truth of the human spirit, it is the memory of all that was, all that is, and all that will be.

I visualise the Great Hall of Records as if it was the Great Library of Alexandria, I see the records as filing cabinets with experiences in them, or as visions, or books. The information is there to be passed on, and I do this without analysing or sometimes even understanding the message.

The information given to me in an Akashic Reading does not come from shuffling cards or asking guides, or reading residual energy or auras left in posts.  I have to meditate in order to enter the Great Hall, so I do not simply sit at my pc and give the reading. This means that I need a connection to ensure I have the right records, and so I ask for a first name and date of birth, and then a question to be sent to me via pm. This also shows some commitment on the part of the seeker, but even so some have never even responded back to me.

Not everyone accesses the Akasha like this, many use prayer and chants, others use sounds or light, I use meditation. I don't think that any one method is better, or worse, it just depends on the reader and how they connect.

Not all requests are suitable for a reading like this, so sometimes I feel I must refuse and offer a different form of reading, and sometimes I must refuse a reading completely. This doesn't mean that I have seen anything bad or that the seeker is unreadable or anything like that, it is just the way it is. Often a seeker wants a reading out of curiosity, and sometimes  if the intent is not pure then I am given that message and told to go no further.

Quite often the length of these readings is quite short, this is usually because there is a brief message that the seeker needs to be given in order to change or develop or improve, or answer a situation. So if you are looking for a guaranteed lengthy reading then I suggest you try another kind.

Not all records are open to being read either. A person can block their own records, either intentionally or unintentionally, or sometimes they are blocked by others or by their beliefs or their guides or angels etc. These cases need to be worked through in a different way.

Also inevitably most seekers want me to look into the future, and as we know, the future is liable to change just by the asking of a reading, and then again when the content is read. This is as it should be, with the seeker continually growing and developing, but it may also lead to disappointment if not understood.

Therefore, it is better to ask for guidance, or advice and support about a situation or area than to make a fact finding demand, asking for the future to be told, which will nearly always have to be refused.

General points on readings.

Recently I have had quite a bit of interest about these readings, and I wonder if it is a novelty factor that will wear off, or just a way to ask for another reading. It does concern me that a couple of requests infer that these readings are in some way better than other means, I do not agree with this at all. It is just a different, and very lovely, way of obtaining information.  

Also I am concerned that some seekers ask for a reading far too regularly, and of course the great akasha knows this and so these seem to be the records I am not given access to, perhaps because the frequent readings mean the seeker is already gaining an insight and there is no need for more to confuse the issue.

Thank-you for giving me the opportunity to say a little bit about where my path is taking me at the moment. I love discussing my readings and I think that if more people asked questions like you have it might mean that a lot more understand what to expect.

As these reading take me a lot of energy, and also for the reasons already stated, I cannot always accept every request. Please don't anyone be offended if I have to say no. Sometimes the time is just not right, and sometimes my work schedule is just too heavy. I also love giving Angel Readings and other kinds of readings about Power Animals.

Thank you so much for all that insightful information, it's a very interesting topic and I wouldn't mind learning it to try and help others, I'm sure that to be able to do so it takes a lot of years of practice.  Also don't worry about not being able to give me a reading that's fine, it's not always the right time or moment.  One last question, I was reading on this forum and saw some one requesting an Akashic past life reading. Is that possible? Does it work the same way but you just look into their past life files?  Well thanks again for all that goody good information.

Past life readings can appear to be a bit hit or miss, I mean how can they be proved or tested out? Sometimes the past lives are not open to be re-visited, perhaps because they are sorted and finished with and the person has successfully moved on, or perhaps because there was something that needs to remain firmly in the past.

Past life readings can be good fun and very exciting, but the reader has to be very capable and understand where to draw the line.  Some may use cards or psychic access or via the akasha. It is best if a direct link can be established otherwise a trace or link will be needed to ensure the right lives are accessed.

Any reading can deeply affect the seeker, past life readings have their own unique way of affecting some people too. If perhaps the seeker has a particular concern that there is a karmic influence from a past life then the reading can help them a great deal. However just exploring for fun can mean that a person gets more than they bargained for.

Opening past life memories can sometimes be quite difficult. The best way to have a past life regression though is under guided meditation with an experienced therapist who can then direct the session to the parts that may benefit from a little work or exploration. In theory a past life could be shocking and traumatic, but in reality there seems to be a safeguard in place so that we are not hurt, however always best to be safe.

Doing past life regressions distantly isn't a good idea at all. It's impossible to accurately gauge how the person is, or will, react and offering the correct support distantly is very difficult to when the person can just sign off and disappear.

Obviously though different readers will have different ideas according to their expertise and experience.
