i asked my guides if they could block my psychic, meduimship and empathetic abiities they are way too strong for me and too much for me to manage given the personal issues i am dealing with at the moment. I know it's possible for them to do this, just wanted to ask if prayer was heard and hononred permnantly and i could go on with my healing and other issues thanks so much!

I am not a medium myself and therefore do not claim to be in direct contact with your guides about this question.

But my feelings and beliefs are as follows.

I also believe that your guides are able to temporarily rather than permanently suspend your psychic and medium development and turn down your sensitivity by several notches, if and/or when this is felt to be required or necessary for your health. Usually your guides have already started doing so, long before you even decided to pray to them to do it for you.

But there was certainly no harm in you praying, as your guides and Higher Self (the small spark of the light of God which exists within all of us) know much better than you or I what you are capable of handing at any particular moment, but can use the energy of your prayer to help them do their job to protect you and enhance your self healing, better and faster. Your prayers only made your guide's task that much more easier than if you had resisted them doing this in what they believed were your best interests.

The evidence as to whether or not this request has been carried out should be within a relatively short period of time reflected in your daily life.

Only if you feel that your prayers were not heard and you noticed that you are still being forced to fit in both your psychic development as well as at the same time having to cope with your other personal issues should you feel concerned and ask for the reason why you were not listened to.

Please let me know if you are still feeling as though your prayers went unanswered, but generally you are in more than capable and healing hands with your spirit guide or guides, without any further assistance from the physical side of the thin veil which exists between the two worlds.

You do not need to have or wait for your guide's permission to be able to go on with your self healing in the light of your current and obviously distressing personal issues. They are already close by your side working for and with you on your healing journey, and will continue to do all that is felt necessary to help and support you in your time of greatest personal need.

As difficult as it must be for you to believe at the moment, you will slowly but safely progressively overcome your present difficulties, with added help from both your guides as well as us and possibly professionals who are experts in particular areas which we are unfortunately not. I believe that a co-operative, united team effort by several professional as well as non professional people at the same time will be your ultimate solution.

Once your guides feel that you are beginning to finally get on top of these issues, your psychic development and sensitivity will be gradually restored, but this time you will be a stronger person within yourself as a direct result of having experienced a major victory over your personal issues, and therefore you should be far better prepared than compared to before to learn to deal with your abilities in a more balanced and sustainable manner.

Your psychic development is a vital part of what type of person you are becoming, and consequently cannot be permanently or indefinitely delayed without also simultaneously doing significant damage to your reason and purpose for once again clothing your spirit with a physical body, in order to be able to learn and function at this level.

In other words permanently turning your psychic abilities off even if it were possible which I seriously doubt that it is, could actually act against you or hold back or prevent your healing. If the guides managed to turn off your empathy for other people, you would also lose it for yourself as well, as an unavoidable consequence. At the very time when you most need to show a high degree of empathy with and compassion for yourself, it would be turned off.

Out of your empathy and compassion for yourself will ultimately develop true and increased self love and self respect. Without feeling greater empathy for yourself during the next six months, I do not like your chances of achieving any degree of healing which you could detect.

You cannot have one without also having the corresponding other member in the same pair. This is a world and Universe of duality. Everything in them exists as pairs of apparent opposites, which in reality are only two different aspects of the same thing or quality (including empathy for oneself, and empathy for or compassionate understanding of others).

you are correct in that i was told they weren't necesariy for my path so they could be blocked, i thought they were and gave my guides permision to do so but i have noticed as i do healing work or as time progresses the psychic expierences have amplified, my empathy has been so strong despite crytals,protection, cleansing i can't get rid of other people's emotions etc it's just too much for me manage, i worked very hard to overcome my current issues and negative emotions, not to take on other people's. I just wish they could block them permantly so i can atleast have asemi normallife following what happened.

I have observed that in individuals such as yourself where your psychic gifts are already much stronger and more developed when compared to the average person, you basically have one of two extreme options to select from. Either you attempt to successfully adapt to your abilities and learn through experience to fully integrate them with the rest of your life, OR you can so quickly and relatively easily drive yourself crazy.  

For a person of exceptional healing abilities associated with such a high degree of empathy as you undoubtedly possess, the type of life which you are living now IS ALREADY WHAT IS REGARDED AS BEING NORMAL FOR YOU. Remember what I wrote about your guides only suspending your abilities as long as it is felt to be in your best interests. Permanently disabling your ability to carry out such an important part of your life's purpose from their perspective, would definitely therefore not be viewed as in your best interests.

The most common heartfelt cry heard from people such as yourself about being as strongly psychic as you clearly are goes something like this.........

People who badly want to be as psychic as you are should be careful of what they wish for as they have absolutely no idea of what being like this involves in the way of personal sacrifices being needed to be made in order to serve others. For many psychics it can be a difficult and at times lonely existence.

But child prodigies with other abilities such as being able to play the concert piano at the age of four or those who are intellectually years ahead of others of their age group have similar psychological challenges to face in being able to somehow adjust their lives around being different. So do people with chronic illnesses and disabilities such as myself, who may also have psychic or spiritual gifts to deal with on top of the restrictions placed upon us by our conditions. I personally know of many people on the internet who are trying their best to cope with both a long term illness and being psychic. Some have chosen to become site owners themselves, for exactly this purpose.

It is probably not of much comfort to you to discover that there are millions of people like you all over the internet who similarly do not want to be seen as different or special, and few if any of them consciously chose their path. Being seen as "different" or "special" when compared to others of your own age group is clearly not always a bed of roses? You will always have my full empathy with this, but my admiration and respect as well for being able to act as a channel of healing to so many people, in spite of the abnormal and at times seemingly unfair pressures it places upon you to balance it with the rest of your life.
