Hi my name is Eric, just signed up to the forums today because i'm really interested in getting an Akashic reading if possible. I recently watched a show about Edgar Cayce and thats what really interested me in looking further into what the Akashic records are and what they're all about. I know that Mangomum i believe it is, is very busy and im sure they have requests all the time but I was just hoping that I could possibly get a reading at some point. I've suffered from many problems over the past few years that have really hurt me as a person, and made me basically a shell of my former self. I was just hoping that a reading could, i dont know, clear some things up for me. Thank you very much. Heres my info.

I do not do readings for anyone under 18 years of age.  The reason for this is that their spiritual energy has not matured and I could possibly affect your life choices or influence you in a way that would not be the right choice for you.  If you wish to chat with me in private message, I may be able to assist you without opening your records.  Or if you are okay with sharing your concerns here on the forum there are so many willing to assist in any way possible.  This is the best I can offer you at this time but I can sense you do need some guidance or clarifications.

I'm 17 isn't that close enough :D. Anyway, thanks anyway. My main problem is that I'm a pretty sensitive person and I have been the victim of intense ridicule in the past. Even though it has died down lately, I feel I have been scarred by it rather deeply and I just don't know what to do. It has left me with intense social anxiety which has caused to basically not be able to talk to anyone anymore. If I'm in a social situation I will more often than not just sit on the sidelines saying next to nothing and only responding when someone says something to me. Even then its usually only yes or no.

I never used to be like this, I used to be extremely outgoing and social. I had many friends that actually liked me and enjoyed being around me. I used to make people laugh and I really prided myself on my wittiness and comedic talent I guess you could say. But now, not so much. I lost many of the relationships that I once held very dear. Last winter around December - March I sank into deep depression because I had basically just lost everything. I couldn't socialize with friends, or even family and I just didn't see a reason to wake up every day. I couldn't talk to anybody and I was completely alone. Now that I think about it, those were very dark times, definitely the worst time in my life by far.

Luckily I have come out of my depression but I still feel lost and definitely in need of some guidance. I was hoping I could find it somewhere, don't know if this is the place.

I would like to add here if I may that the rule about not giving readings to anybody who is not yet 18 is both one of the rules you are meant to have agreed to before you posted this request, as well as it being a matter of international law about what is and is not allowed over the internet. Being 17 is not near enough.

The point I wanted to make to you was that MangoMum's refusal to give you a reading until you are 18 is not to be misinterpreted as a personal attack on you, or that you are being selectively treated unfairly. Nor does it mean that any of us would not be more than pleased to help you with a reading either on or anytime after your 18th birthday.

We do not want you to get the mistaken idea that readers do not care about what has happened or is still happening to you. We are also not allowed to give readings concerning medical or health matters which should only be done in consultation with a qualified doctor, but since it does not appear that you are seeking our medical advice about your depression, that is not an issue here.

But that is enough about the reading rules for now! IMO

Since MangoMom has already kindly offered to help you without actually giving you a reading and you appear to be comfortable discussing this on a public forum rather than only through a private message, I would ask the moderator to please make an exception this one time and leave this thread here instead of moving it to the I Need a Hug forum which is normally the one I would have recommended in your case had I known your age.

On the strict condition of course that no reading is given, which does not rule out any of us offering you friendly advice and our own opinions. We cannot rule out the possibility that our own intuition may not come into play during this process.

I will continue to monitor this thread and see what MangoMum has to tell you before adding anything more to this discussion. We all work together on this forum as one united team, in the best interests of and for the common good of all members.

Having myself personally battled with chronic anxiety and depression for most of my nearly 57 years I do feel a great sense of connection with you and will do anything I feel able to in addition to whatever support MangoMum will have already given you to convince you that we are not so bound up by the rules that we would reject your cry for help, understanding and some real compassion, simply because you are not of the required age for a reading.

Thank you very much for you responses. I didn't take the denial of a reading personally by the way, I genuinely believed what MangoMom said about my spiritual energy. I want to apologize for not fully reading over the rules, I did look over them before I posted but I think I must have skipped over that one in the excitement of possibly getting a reading. Thanks anyway guys. I'll definitely be posting once March 6, 2010 comes along :D ....guess i got a while. Hopefully by that time i'll be able to change some of the more troublesome aspects of my life that I currently suffer from. Thanks.
