| I am a 20 yr. old female in NY and feel that I really need help with the direction that my life is taking. Basically, I want to know whether I should stick with the job that I currently have or persue another which I've been considering for a while now. I also want to know if the career that I want to study for is the right one for me. I'd like to find out if my paths are being blocked (I strongly suspect that they are) and why. I really feel like my situation has reached a critical point. Thanks in advance to anyone who may answer. |
Hi Ammo
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all sit and look into a crystal ball and see our future, knowing it would not change, knowing that what we see would really happen? Or would it? What if we didn't like what we saw or it didn't fit with our plans? The questions you ask are so important, but also so exact, requiring a simple yes or no answer. I believe that the future is not set in stone so if I was to see a future or read a future, then just by telling you I would be making the option for it to be changed. For instance you have four parts to your question, or what some people might say, four questions.

Changing jobs is very high up on the list of stresses that affect our lives. Can you afford to change? Can you afford not to? Will the new job be steady and safe and a reliable source of income, or less money but perhaps slightly more enjoyable? No-one but you can decide the answer here. But I sense that you are changing and developing in many different areas all at once, you have some very strong ideas but you keep them hidden from view. You are worried that people won't understand you and that they may think you a bad person in some way, you aren't though, your aura is clear and strong and very glowing filled with energy and enthusiasm and it touches and reaches out to anyone that need help.

I feel that this is an occupational dream or love of some kind, something you want to do but something that you lack enough confidence to truly pursue on your own? Is there a way to have a trial or more practice and gain experience bfore committing?

There is no such thing as the right one, there can be the right one for the right circumstances or the right one for the moment, but finding the right career is a mixture of many things that make us up. You are still very young and so have plently of time to study and to learn more and see if this is the right vocation for you, and find out if you really enjoy it as much as you think you will? Sometimes it is better to keep certain things for a hobby or something that we do for enjoyment rather than because we have to because we get paid for it.

If I said yes to this then that in itself would be a block, I don't sense anyone blocking you apart from yourself. You feel that others are somwhow stopping you and putting obstacles in your path and making things harder for you than needs be. This is about confidence and perception. If you think that something is a block then youare giving that thought energy and the problem can build, if you see something as a challenge then the mind starts using the energy to figure out ways round it, ways to overcome and succeed. Do you see the difference? The power of thought is very great and should not be wasted on negative ideas. Stay positive and bright and let your energy shine through
