Hi, I would like to request a reading if possible, the question I have is when am I going to get a job? and if its going to pay enough for me to support myself and two kids. Greatly appreciate it

Hi Pam,

Thanking you sincerely for the compliment you have just paid me, both in this forum and through your PMs. I can well understand how terribly frustrating this process of trying to find a job to help you pay the bills and support your two lovely children must be for you, but please do not take this too personally as it is happening on such a major scale with the current state of the employment market, and you are at a distinct disadvantage when compared to a single person with no family or other financial responsibilities of their own. I am presuming that at the age of 43 you have been in the workforce before, and that having been out of it for a while(?) your skills may not be up to date. But this does not necessarily mean that your situation is anything like being hopeless, and I do feel that a combination of whatever insights you can obtain from a reading, plus getting some professional advice from a qualified job counsellor  or career advisor who can also provide you with information concerning the current availability of different types of jobs in your local area could greatly increase your overall chances of finding a suitable position sooner, rather than much later.

The financial and other pressures you must feel you are under at the moment (not only for yourself, but also for your children) give this search a great degree of urgency? Readings of this type are thought to refer to a period of the next six months or so, and therefore my question will be as to whether or not it is felt that you will be gainfully employed during that time period. This also means of course that if you were to become employed further into the future than this then it probably would not show up in this particular reading. I cannot unfortunately be more specific than that about the exact day, date and month. Only you will be able to determine during the interview when the pay is discussed, as to whether or not you feel the income will be adequate for both your children and yourself to comfortably live on. It says that you could be a star job wise, but only if you are willing to continue to consider all your options in a balanced manner, and not to become too bogged down with feeling sorry for yourself, as you are far from alone in feeling as though you have little of value left to contribute to the work force. The way in which we unknowingly as a modern society give people this mistaken impression creates a huge social problem, and when they do finally get a job their work efficiency must suffer terribly as a result of this "throw away" attitude which we have to any person over 25 years of age.  

You are unlikely to get exactly the type of job(s) you were originally looking for during the next six months, but if you are willing to update and retrain, you will significantly increase your chances of getting something even better. It is often not what you know, but whom you know that counts in the end, so I feel that a job offer could come to you by word of mouth through one of your friends.

Thanks I was thinking that in the back of my mind that I probably wouldnt get the job I want until I finish training for a medical assistant, which will take 4 months. I have been working prior to having surgery last year, as a customer service rep along with alot of different jobs, travel agent etc but was not satisfied, I wanted a job that I could help people and make a difference. So for the past year and a half I went back to school, originally to get a nursing degree. Short term Medical assistant. But havent limited applying to only the medical field. I applied to just about everything I had past experience in lol So I guess back to the books I have to pass this one math class before they send me to training. Im failing the class atm LOL Math isnt a strong point I have. Thanks again for all your help and guidens
