what I think for what it's worth...people like certain types of reading...it's what they are comfortable with....some people prefer to have the physical props to latch onto...where as others are happy with no props

I am sure that the suggestion was given with the very best of intentions, and everyone's opinions are valued here. I have nothing against astrologers, as I have had my own birth chart drawn up for many years ago by a teacher of astrology, and it was frighteningly accurate. I have no doubt whatsoever that astrology in the right hands can be a useful tool in better understanding ourselves.

Which is precisely why we are already providing them with a range of different types of intuitive reading options in the Psychic Reading forum, but with "featured readers" who tend to favour certain methods over others.

As I said in my previous response I would welcome a featured reader who specialises in astrology in order to intuitively help our members in this forum, but like Pete and many others I suspect we would not like to see this forum absorbed into a mega one somewhere else.

The problem with different types of Astrology being used by different readers is not relevant to this forum, as full astrology readings would not be given here. Do members normally seek a Tarot reading using a specific deck in preference over another?

I don't think so.

They are here to get help with their problems (and we are here to provide this), and I feel that the featured reader idea which is only currently being trialled is a significant positive step in the right direction towards presenting people with a range of options from which they can choose. If they always tend to favour one divinatory method over another, it would probably be better for them to get a full reading done in the appropriate forum. I myself believe that the information we give them on this forum through readings comes from the same source anyway.

I agree with EOT and Pete, the step you took to feature readers was a grand step in helping seekers understand the different readings.  It seems to be working very well, let's give it a little time before making such a major change and confusing everyone.  

Administrators, you do listen to us and it is working, we appreciate everything you are doing.

I think this thread ought to  have appeared in General discussion forum instead of this forum

It has been in General and Recommandations since day one, I have given my view on both places and it seems that we all agree that for the time being there is no need for a change.

I have let them still stay open...so no one shall feel that their opinion don't count, but one have to deliver good reason why such a change need to be done.
