I lost someone so very close to me about seven years ago and I find it hard to get over it or cope with it. I feel lost some-days and do not know what to do. I have put on so much weight and I feel ugly within myself what should I do? I care too much about what others think about me strangers who really do not give a monkeys rats about me.

           I'm sorry to hear about your loss and your struggles with it... I would like to know more... why do you think you are having such a hard time letting go?? and what would this person want for you if they were still here?? Beating yourself up about it and letting it do so much to ruin your own happiness is not it I bet...

About feeling ugly and caring what others think... well caring what others think is just a part of you... But you CAN make it a point to be the best you that you can and it will go a long way for how you feel about yourself and how others see you... when you are happy and like yourself others will be happy around you and like you too... Weight you can either learn to like or learn to lose it... Have you ever thought about going to therapy to deal with the loss of this person and to help you get over it so that you can move forward in a positive way?? There are many steps that you can take to find the road of recovery... but you have to start them... I know that when I lost a loved one that I went and prayed, and talked to someone from my church and tried to find my way there... and when that didn't fill the void that I was feeling I turned to myself and asked me why I felt how I did and what I could do to make it better... It took me awhile to do it but I did and I know that you can too!! and if you need someone I am right here for you... I'm not a therapist, but I can be a friend and a shoulder to lean on if you need one...
