I truly don't think anything in your past lives would benefit you in what direction to take at this time. I think you need to meditate (you can find out more about meditations on this forum)and get to know your guides, check out the forum here and see what modality resonates and peaks your interestl

I know nothing about totems, I would suggest asking about totems on the general discussion forum, one individual is RedHawk, so just spend some more time visiting the different forums.

I could probably give you a pretty good idea about your guides, but I don't talk with your guides, you do. Check out the Mediumship, there are others much more qualified to assist you in Mediumship, I truly love reading information from Spirittalk. There was also a thread about meeting your guides and getting to know them.
