I am a 35 year old girl born on the 2.3.72. Recently I have become restless in my career and seem to lack direction - I know where my passion lies and have set up my own business to concentrate on this but it's been a very up and down year and I really need to know that i'll get abreakthrough soon. I have a short term contract that finishes next week and am unsure what approach to take next.

I also have questions about my future soul mate. I have recently reconnected with an ex - (he shares the same birthday as my Mother - I'm not sure if that's significant) email only and he wants to meet up. However I don't believe he still wants to make any commitment to me or has changed his approach towards me significantly - we haven't spoken for about six months and this is a pattern that has been ongoing for about two years. We do have a strong connection and keep coming back together but it always ends in heartache. I have just started seeing another guy but he doesn't excite me but he is quite keen and has good values and treats me well but this just isn't enough for me. I have randomly met another guy who sporadically texts and phones but it doesn't result in anything....It's all very odd as these guys have all materialised together in the last month or so - before this there wasn't really any drama going on in my love life so it instinctively feels an odd time!

What I really need is some indicators about what direction my life is going to take as i feel out of control. I strongly feel I will get my chosen career direction in hand and will meet a soul mate but would lve some advice ...

I was hoping for a more serene image given your situation. However after reading your request I received the image of a washing machine. Not the whole washing machine mind you but rather a very clear image of the "agitator" pumping up and down inside!

Now right at this point it would be a simple matter to "throw the baby out with the bath water" so to speak. By that I mean that you may well be tempted to say that you didn't need a psychic reading to tell you that your life is agitated and in turmoil and you're right about that you know! However, that's not what I'm trying to say. The image of the agitator isn't entirely about agitation! The image of the agitator inside the washing machine is telling me that this "upheaval" in your life is a way of getting it clean!

Now, Giddy, please don't run off in a hundred directions with that last word. I'm not suggesting that your life is dirty in the "soiled" sense of the word. What this image is trying to tell us is that you will feel, look, and perform a whole lot better without some of the things that have been clinging to your fabric for many years. It's time to brush them off, time to "wash" them off, and feel cleaner and lighter in the end. Now of course the down side of this is that neither clothes nor lives come very clean by simply leaving them in tepid water. It most often takes both heat and agitation to remove the really stubborn stains.

This isn't an image of rest and relaxation, Giddy, but it is indeed an image of hope. Things that no longer serve you are being scrubbed off you. And I imagine that the agitation required to do that isn't something you want to long endure. So remember, that the timer on the washer is ticking. The rinse will follow. And then comes warm and dry!

I think you are probably right on so many levels. weirdly enough after i posted the question last night I almot instantly received a call from the innapproprite boy - two missed calls at 1 in the morning, spoke to him t 2 then missed calls again at half five and six in the morning - think he may add an elent of the pink soc to a boil wash!

I appreciate your commens - so i just need to take control basically?

That is always your main task.....you are responsibly for yourself and that can only be achieved as long as you have your own control.

In the "flame of love" we might loosen a bit on it.....but never let it go because that might only hurt you more in the end

Yes, I would go with your resonance to the reading. In your own words, "take control". However, I just sensed that there are two levels of control that we must speak of. First and foremost take conscious control of your drama. But now listen closely. Sometimes what "taking conscious control of our drama" means is to take control of the part of us that likes to keep us in chaos!  

Now, I'm not going to say another word about that. I want you to take that in and live with it for a while. Take control of the part of you that likes to keep you in chaos, the part that likes to generate the melodrama and keep it going. This is by no means a criticism of you, Giddy. We all share this need to control what has a vested interest in keeping our lives "out of control". Just stay with that for a while. Keep that in the forefront of your thinking. One day soon it will make sense to you. It's meaning for your life will "dawn" on you. And then that insight will be truly yours!

However, until that moment "dawns" for you, I'll tell you a little secret. Until you consciously control this little rascal, you'll be in a holding pattern circling the city of your dreams and your potentials. Only by taking control of that part of you that has an investment in chaos will you be able to pull back on the stick, gain altitude, and really start to soar.

Giddy, the second level of control is out of your control at the moment. All of your past moments have impacted all of your current moments. And this dynamic is going to have to run its normal course. You can't stop a dinosaur on a dime! When the captain of a huge cruise ship turns off his engines it probably takes his ship a mile to stop! In like manner, the natural forward motion of your life is still in motion. The natural checks and balances are still running. You do your part and they quite naturally will do theirs.

My sense is that you are "on to something", Giddy. I sense that, however chaotic your life is at the moment, there's a new light shining inside your head!  Trust your resonance with the reading. That resonance means that I just told you something that you already know!!
