Yes, offering wise advice with the very best of intentions to a close friend is something quite different from pestering him, but I also wondered why you said that doing this was fun.

Were you saying this tongue in cheek (satire), when you actually meant to say that it was not easy to do this without possibly making him angry, and unintentionally putting pressure upon your relationship with him (as his friend)?
He seems to have made a very accurate assessment of his current situation (he has a good head on his shoulders), and I agree that it appears that he would probably be wiser to wait (my personal opinion only), but only he should decide when the time is right to make a move, or whether or not he ever needed her.
We can only offer him further insights through a reading in order to hopefully make his task a little easier, but in the end even though I know you are being a good friend by caring so much about what happens to him, no psychic reading should ever take the place of his own free will?
Thanks again for being there for your friend, as I feel that he is fortunate to have someone like yourself who is watching out for him, rather than you being in any way a "pest" by doing so.

Ah, it was just a joke, really. When I say I'm going to "pester" someone, I'm not really going to. All I told him was that if he wanted to, he could come there. I just described the community a bit, and made the offer, but I would never force him or nag at him into doing something. He has a life offline, and I respect that. He usually just comes to me for advice, but other than that, his online time is to get away from his family situation, which I know for a fact eats away at him. It's his mother's boyfriend. Long story, but she needs to lose him. The way I became friends with Tom was actually through another forum. I posted a poem that really touched him, and we've been friends ever since.
