r1ytm,
The image I received for you when I began your reading was that of a drum. This was the type of drum known as a congo drum. If I'm wrong about the name then let me describe it for you.
This drum was a substantial wooden cylinder that stood upright on one end. If you walked up to it to play it then the top of the drum would be somewhere near the height of your waist. I suppose that you simply hold the wooden cylinder securely between your knees then tap out your rhythm with both hands. This isn't the kind of drum that requires drum sticks like the drums that are most often played in rock bands. I believe this drum is widely used in the Caribbean to play rhythmic island music in steel bands.
Well, now that we've established that I'm no musician, let's talk about the message that this image conveys. One of the keys to understanding it is that I received the image of a drum without a drummer! The drum was just standing upright in place all alone. The drum was silent! Although it had the potential to produce great sound and music, its potential was completely unused, untapped, and ignored.
I'm guessing that this is starting to sound like it applies to someone you know! Whoever this person may be he appears to be letting his gift or gifts stand idle instead of using them to make his own special brand of music that he could share with the world.
I cannot tell if this image is suggesting that all talents are being ignored or if it refers to only one. In either case the silent drum suggests that an important potential is being overlooked in someone's life. And I sense that were this gift or talent explored and developed it would bring a great deal of satisfaction to the life of the drummer and to all who would "dance to his beat".
This is a wake up call for someone who may be searching for fulfillment everywhere but right under his nose. You already possess the gift that you are seeking. However, it can't bless you and others until you take it out from under wraps, dust it off, tune it up, and finally put it to good use.
