What is a Akashic Reading and how does it differ from other readings?

There is a thread on July 7 explaining the Akashic Records, in this forum, or the pshychic forum. I'm somewhat technically challenged, I don't know how to past the thread, but if you check it out, I think that will give you your answer.

I sincerely hope that MangoMom will not mind me interrupting here, as I would like to comment concerning your question (which is an excellent one) if I may.

If the Akashic records are a cosmic storehouse of the sum total information of all your incarnations (past present and future), then they will consequently contain a series of carefully graded lessons by which you will eventually not only hopefully discover the purpose of this current lifetime, but from which you may ultimately realise that a single lifetime is merely a drop in the ocean of time, and that your total existence has a much higher or greater purpose as part of the cosmic plan, which lies far beyond Earthly purpose or ambition. An important part of your purpose in any lifetime is to learn these lessons, so that you will be qualified to be promoted to a more advanced difficulty level (either within this current lifetime, or in a later one)?

So to answer your question, while a full Akashic Reading rather than simply an intuitive psychic reading (as MangoMom herself admits to giving on these forums, but is of no less value) will go some way towards helping you to discover your main life purpose(s) in this current lifetime, it is more involved with the much bigger picture of the sum total experiences of not only all your lifetimes on Earth and the physical plane throughout time as we know it, but on all other planes and in any dimension as well. The sum total of all our conscious experience on not only this one, but those on all other levels? At the cosmic level, past present and future co-exist, or seamlessly merge into the one timeless existence?
