Missy,

I read your post through a number of times and I received two images both of which feel as though they have something just for you.

The first was an image of a young girl following a trail of bread crumbs through a forest. Night was falling and the trail was dimly lit. She could see only a short distance out in front of her. However, there she was bravely and patiently following a trail of crumbs one by one, a trail that would surely be eaten by the little creatures of the woods if she didn't hurry along her way.

The image brought to mind a popular saying in mystic circles, "Do what lies at hand to do". Good advise when the trail through life is dimly lit and marked only by a crumb or two to guide the way. Missy, the way before us is seldom brightly lit with floodlights and arrows. Our travelling companions most often are uncertainty and ambiguity. We are asked to make decisions at many a fork and many a crossroad. And after detours and blind alleys many of us find the road has taken us somewhere we never imagined we might be.

The second image I received was that of an old woman sitting in a rocking chair. She wasn't in a hurry. She was rocking and waiting. And judging by her age she had been rocking and waiting for quite some time. My distinct impression here was that she was waiting for someone to tell her what to do with her life. And, until that someone arrived with a compass, a map, and a guarantee of safe passage and arrival, there she stayed. She was safe, and warm, and as comfortable as a ship in a harbor. Only problem is that's not what ships and lives are for.

Missy, you came to the Board asking for advise and here it is. Dress warm for the journey, look at the opportunites for self expression and service that surround you at this moment. Do what lies at hand to do and start living your life today. God may indeed have other plans for you. However, I don't believe His plan for living was ever revealed to someone in a rocking chair. His plan unfolds on the journey, in the journey, and as the journey along the way.

There isn't a reader on this Board who can tell you precisely what you'll be doing for the next fours years. This is your life. Your adventure. It's your turn to make your own decisions at life's forks and crossroads. But know that the One who is coaxing you out into the forest will walk beside you every step of the way.

Thanks Grayson, I understand I have to make my own decisions, I was just hoping someone could take a wild psychic-guess at what they think I may be doing. But, I think, am I asking too much? If so, that's OK, I completely understand and I thankyou very much for your insight:)

I want to make certain that you didn't miss some of the reading I did for you. Yes, part of the message was that you must make your own decisions. The future is simply not cast in concrete. I know that you understand this.

The part you may have overlooked while hoping for an answer that named a specific vocation such as medicine, law, or teaching was the following:

"Look at the opportunities for self expression and service that surround you at this moment".

I was trying to tell you that some of the "clues" regarding your immediate future are right beneath your nose! The trail of "bread crumbs" in the forest is already there right in front of you. Don't expect to find a huge billboard or a neon arrow sign saying, "Missy - Go this Way!"

Instead the image I read for you was urging you to look carefully at the opportunities that already lay at your feet right where you are standing.

A "wild psychic guess" in this case is that there is something already within your orbit that is beckoning. You'll have to be still and quiet to hear it because it's unlikely that it will shout.  

Look around you, Missy. The answer to your question about your immediate future is close at hand.
