Please can someone help me.
I am due to take my children to turkey on the 26th august 2007. However, various things associated with the passport it Ie:- the countersigniture and then the photos not being right despite them being done by passport photographers and other silly things along the way. We had one application returned being told that because the countersigniture's employer is based in Dublin they cannot accept it

. I am trembleing every day and car'nt tell you how anxious i am. The kids and I were made homeless a year and a half ago and I promised this holiday to them because they deserve it more than anyone. I'm running out of time. Can anyone please tell me if everything will be done in time before I have a nervous breakdown

Dear Vicky,

Is there any special reason why it must be a holiday specifically to Turkey, and why it must be taken now? What is the government advice currently being offered to English citizens, regarding matters of your personal safety and security when travelling to this region? Have you been in contact with the Turkish embassy concerning this series of problems you are experiencing with your passports and photos etc. Reading between the lines I feel that you are already in such a highly agitated emotional state that if you did manage to leave at the expected time, you would not be able to enjoy it and you would also not be particularly company for and help to your children if you took ill overseas.

As for a quick reading concerning your question: "Can anyone please tell me if everything will be done in time?" my impressions are that the only effective way that you can greatly decrease your own chances of having a complete nervous breakdown (and believe me from my own personal experience, undergoing a stress breakdown is hardly a laughing matter) is to either delay your holiday to Turkey until later, or if it is not imperative that it must necessarily be to Turkey that you might enjoy a holiday abroad closer to home (France?).

Not only do I believe that the constant problems you are experiencing in getting this done by the 26th is not a coincidence, but I do feel that it is a sign that you must learn to balance your own equally important emotional and health needs against the desires of your children. How can you enjoy your promised holiday abroad with them from a bed in a Turkish hospital? I do not know how old your children are, but if they are of an age to be reasoned with, explain to them why you have decided that if things do not work out as expected with your holiday arrangements this time, there will always be an opportunity later.

When it comes down to choosing between their mother's health and happiness and going to Turkey at the end of this month, I sense that your children will greatly respect that their opinions were taken into consideration in you making the final decision. See this as a valuable opportunity for teaching them that sometimes in life we need to make sacrifices, or be willing to wait for a while in order to get the things we want or have been promised in good faith.

My feelings are that you will eventually go abroad with your children and have a most enjoyable and relaxing time, but I am not feeling very confident at least for the moment that it will be Turkey, and I do not like your chances that you will leave for whatever turns out to be your final destination by the end of August this year. There is nothing that would make me happier than for you to prove me wrong about what I am getting from your reading, but I am deeply concerned that forcing this could come at the far too expensive cost of your own mental, emotional and perhaps even physical health.
