Dear Eye of the tiger, will you please do a reading for me regarding my health and my home situation (I think both are connected). Thanking you in anticipation.

Hello Vlinder,
I saw your request and felt that you might like to have a short tarot reading too whilst you are waiting? I hope that this is ok? If not then just skip over this post, I know many people think that tarot is something dark and mysterious but it is truly not, it can enlighten us and provide guidance and support and can empower us to make decisions wisely
Whilst I was shuffling two cards fell out. To me these usually are cards that will have a great bearing on the question and your situation as a whole. The first one was The Chariot and the second The Star. These are both Major Arcana cards (arcana means secret) having two major secrets fall out is rather unusual and means they have a special message for us to share.
The picture on the first card shows a figure driving a chariot pulled by two sphinxes, one is black and one is white, the person seems to be struggling over which way to go as each sphinx pulls in a different direction. One of the most obvious interpretations of this card is that you are being pulled in two ways, and are indecisive over what to do, one direction is toward home and one away, there is a great strength to the driver who holds both reins in their hands and has the ultimate decision on which route to take.
The Star shows a lady with one foot on land and one foot in the ocean and she carries two pitchers of clay filled with water. Water can symbolise love and emotions and as the pitchers are overflowing this can mean that there is a lot of compassion that is constantly being renewed as the pitchers are dipped into the water and emptied onto the land. There is a large bright shining sun and seven stars twinkling in the sky, these show that there is a succession of events, day and night following on and sometimes things can make day seem like night and vice versa. When times are hard it might seem like the night goes on forever and the day is short and speeds by. The Star sometimes shows us that we are in the midst of a crossroads, we have not yet made our decision, we are comfortable on land and on the waves and adapt to our circumstances and surroundings, gently carrying on our own ways and path. Sometimes The Star shines and tells us that a healing has taken place, the elixir of water has smoothed and cleansed our path and washed away any damage that has come before, and that now is a time of growth and abundance.
Your base card is The Hermit, the wise person that keeps their own council and strives to seek the truth by the light of a dimly lit lantern. Perhaps this card might be suggesting that you would do well to seek knowledge and to look for a route that you fel comfortable with towards learning more about your spiritual and inner self? Our journey can take us many ways and we should always be on the look out for opportunities to help ourselves. If we do not help ourselves it can be harder for us to help others. If we are not happy then it is harder to share a smile or to laugh at another's jokes and so spread happiness.
As a summary I feel that your health and home is very related, that would only be natural though, but there is a conflict, something that The Chariot has shown by its two directions, perhaps to choose one direction will mean that you may overcome a problem that has been bothering you for a while? I feel that deep down inside your heart you do know what is causing this recurrent problem and that you also know what to do to rectify it, but you are reluctant to break any eggs or rock the boat of peace. The Star shows ripples across the water and these will be far reaching but they do heal in time and many people will feel your ripple when it hits them. For some it will be a gentle warm wave and for others a more powerful feeling that they stop and think about. Your light is shining and will burst through the clouds and dry up these ripples leading to a day full of warmth and joy, sunshine and hope.
Take time for yourself and rest a while, meditate on your options then make your move
Meg

Thankyou very much Meg for taking the time and effort to do this for me, of course I don't mind! I can take a lot from this reading and whilst reading one bit I got a rush of energy through me. I'm sure you'll like some feed-back so here goes: Firstly, there is a lot of conflict and confusion in me. After my husband passed almost 4 years ago I didn't know whether to stay in this house or move. We'd only lived in this town and this house a couple of years when he got ill and had built up a good business together. At first I got comfort from being here because I could feel him around me and there was so much of him here, the work he'd done on the house, etc. made me feel close to him. Also my in-laws live not far away which helped. (I have one daughter and 2 small granddaughters who live 100 kms away.) The last couple of years though I've felt very restless and very often down. To make matters worse my next-door neighbour, a man about my age who is single tried to "look after me" in a controlling manner right after my husband passed (he kept his distance when he was ill). He didn't give me the space to grieve and despite interventions from my in-laws and my daughter he persisted. When I very tactfully and kindly told him I could look after myself he got nasty and he's tried to make my life a misery ever since. It gradually became clear to me that I should move, partly because of this man, but also because I can't find my peace any more in this house, maybe because I don't feel Dirk here anymore and because we only lived here a short time before he fell ill so don't really have many happy memories here. So I finally knew I wanted to move, but for a long time didn't know where to; I've recently decided where I want to move to, it's just finding the right location, house etc.
Healthwise .........a year ago I started suffering from trigeminal neuralgia. I've been having treatment from a chiro practor who found problems in my neck and it's improved considerably, but not healed completely. I think stress is a factor in this.
As for spirituality, I've been on that path for many years now. Also I've become very sensitive to subtle energies, probably because of my activities with energy healing. My problem is I don't feel very earthed anymore and tend to pick up on other people's emotions, pains, etc. If I'm not careful I tend to resonate with the low vibrational energy of others and only realise when I'm away from them that it happened. I need to learn how to deal with this.
As of late, I've felt something changing in me, there is a shift, I can feel it, I just hoped it would result in me feeling more comfortable in my body and that I will be free of tension and emotional pain.
From your reading it seems like there is hope for me!
Another thing I've just decided for myself is, (I don't know how easy this will be to put into practice) I'm always doing what I think others would like rather than what I want, that causes conflict in myself too, doing what I don't want to do and not doing what I'd like to do. So I've promised myself to consider my own feelings more and be true to myself. I hope I have the courage of my convictions.
Thanks again Meg.
Vlinder

Welcome Meg,
It is perfectly OK with me that you have offered my dear friend Vlinder a reading in my absence (reading wise), but I was concerned that by so generously doing so you might be spoken to by the moderators for offering a Tarot reading in this Psychic Reading only forum. This posting had already been moved by Gem to this forum, before you responded?
I sincerely hope that they will view this in the same spirit of love with which your reading was given, at least on this occasion. I believe that the very positive and comprehensive feedback you have just received from Vlinder speaks mountains about the very high quality and great depth of the reading you have offered her, and I wish to fully support everything which you have suggested to assist her with the questions she was asking in her original request.
I hope to be able to give her my own reading within the next 24 - 48 hours, so it should be interesting to compare both types to determine whether or not they appear to come from the same common source (as I strongly suspect they will). I feel that one of the possible downsides of having separate forums for each type of reading is that we rarely have the opportunity to compare each other's readings side by side, as may be permitted in this case.
My feelings are that they will be found to complement one another, rather than one being better or worse. Patients have the right to seek a second opinion from another doctor than their own, so why shouldn't a person have an equal right to seek alternative perspectives concerning their problems as offered to them by more than one type of reading (unless of course they choose to use it in a more negative manner to pit one reader against the other, as if it was a competition instead of people helping people in the best way they know how)? Vlinder is not one of those people who would do something like this, so I feel confident that this would be of considerable benefit to her to leave both readings in the same place.
Wishing you both every success and happiness for the future,
eye_of_tiger

I have no plans to move this to tarot as its being viewed here with no problems.
Tarot and psychic readings do work with intuition etc and every once and awhile when they overlap into a different forum then we dont mind at all Its only when one reading is all based on psychic or tarot that we move it to another forum so that it benefits the appropriate members interests.
We do make a note of it on the board when it occurs due to the fact of having so many new members registering they can assume theres no difference and then start adding their tarot readings to the psychic readings and then it can create confusion and the need to move replies around etc
As this is a mixture of the both then it shall remain where it is now. I look forward to the compare etc......would be nice to have a psychic and tarot on one to see how well the cards or reading back each other up

Ooooopsie! I think I may have inadvertantly caused this situation, so thanks for everyone being so kind and and understanding and welcoming..
When I moved the original post here I left a shadow topic on view in the tarot reading forum so that Vlinder could find the post, and I think that will be what Meg is responding to?
One thing is for certain, there is a lot more feedback given here in the Psychic Reading Forum, than there is in the Tarot Reading Forum. I wonder why that is?
