As I read your request I received an image of a little boat out in the middle of the ocean. It was an older wooden boat. There was no one inside and its sails were down.

The ocean was flat neither wave nor wind. This suggests to me that there is nothing steering this boat at all. It is simply drifting and it will stay drifting until someone gets inside, hoists the sail, and sets a course.

I sense that the message here is that the situation you find yourself in will not change until either you or you and someone else in your life decides to set out in a different direction.

The listlessness I feel may be mirrored in your business life as well. I only have this general image at the moment so I cannot tell. However, I can ask if you have intentionally gone after this promotion or are you simply hoping that a gust of wind will come along and land you on a brighter shore?

This is all I sense at the moment. There is a heaviness and directionless feeling about this image. The skys aren't bright but nor are they very dark and stormy. The air is simply heavy and still.

I do not sense that anything will change in your life without you consciously participating in the change. Nothing will change without your intention to change it.
