Hey everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

I have been a member of this board for a few months now. I have been enjoying the post people have placed and the classes offered. I am currently a Reki Student under Master Cody (Britishfish).

I have never posted in this section, because I have always been very fearful of this sort of stuff. Althought I do understand that to some extent I have had the ability to offer guidance to some people through my journeys. My reason for finally posting today is to find some guidance. I truly appreciate these boards and all of the talented people that dwell on them humbly bescheeh this board to offer some guidance to me.

I had a reading recently and was left with both grave and interesting news. The reader promised to offer me assistance because he feels have some ability. However, he had not responded to my inquiries for help and has abandoned me.

Now I don't know if he was accurate or how to help myself through my present circumstances.

Could anyone help me by offering an additional reading, some clarification, or some guidance? I hope that someone will be able to feel the sincerity of my request and offer assistance. I do not wish to be rude, but I feel that this is a matter of my maintaining my sanity (literarly)

I wish to warmly welcome you to the Psychic Reading forum, and would also like to assure you that you have absolutely nothing to fear from requesting a reading here, but possibly quite a lot to gain. Hey, there is nothing of a paranormal or frightening nature going on here, but simply a group of people helping other people through the use of their own intuitive abilities.

Nothing more than that, and most of us are not known to bite!

If I understood you correctly this reader who you say is now ignoring your requests for assistance in developing your abilities was not a member of these MB forums and may not have explained to you the difference between what help can be given through a reading, and what further help cannot. I feel that by offering you insights into your psychic abilities within his reading he has done all that he effectively can to point you in the right direction at least as a reader. Reading forums such as this one are intended to be only for requesting and giving readings.

What you now do with the insights which he gave you as part of your reading must always remain a matter of your own free will. On the MB forums readings and requests for general advice regarding your development must be openly made on the public forums. I am assuming that you may have either been asking specifically for psychic advice on the forums by that reader only, or that you attempted to get his attention through a private message or email. On these MB forums, request a psychic or mediumship reading in the Psychic Reading forum. If on the other hand you want to general advice concerning your development, post these instead in the Psychic forum.

Do not ask specifically for a particular person to respond to your posting, especially if you would like to receive your response within a reasonable period of time. Some readers confine their work exclusively to the Readings forums, so these people will never see your posting in the general advice forum at all.

Although I believe that a mediumship reading is probably going to be much more effective in offering you spiritual guidance (psychic readings are generally more associated with Earthly or everyday matters including your career, finance, health and romance etc), I would be pleased to give you some intuitive guidance, especially with reference to how best to develop your own abilities from now on.

I am immediately being asked to tell you to continue being yourself. While it is comforting and inspiring to look to other psychics and mediums as examples of how you might do this work, we are all unique and equally valuable individuals and each has our own personal style of doing this work which best suits us. Be true to yourself in everything which you do, and honour and respect your spiritual Self by trusting that you will know when you are ready to progress to the next level. Do not try so hard that you could possibly by doing this exhaust your own vital energies in the process, as I sense that you have always expected far more from yourself than any other reasonable person would.

Please be your own greatest fan or best friend, rather than being your own worst enemy by beating up on yourself for not everything happening according to your own schedule. While I recognise your significant abilities as a student of the ancient healing art of Reiki, do not try to make everything else you will learn on your search for knowledge and self understanding fit into the same restricted belief system. In other words do not have any preconceived notions as to how the psychic information will come to you, or you could possibly be overlooking your greatest psychic strengths.

For an example if you happen to be predominantly a clairaudient medium - you hear spirit speaking to you within your head, you may not be always able to also see them standing near to you. If you then unwisely compare yourself to a medium who is largely clairvoyant - they see spirit and dream like visions in their mind's eye, you might then judge yourself unfairly as being as about as psychic as a lump of stone.

The final piece of advice which comes out of your reading is that since intuitive information comes mainly to us though our own unconscious, trying to make things happen which involves using our conscious minds is almost guaranteed to block out any of your abilities or prevent any genuine psychic information from reaching you. While you should not simply accept everything at face value as necessarily being of a psychic nature and should always carefully eliminate every possible physical everyday explanation first, if you continue to question all that you receive or continually minimise or downgrade your own psychic successes, then your psychic and intuitive abilities will shrivel with neglect on the vine. Another way of saying this is that if you do not use your perfectly natural psychic and intuitive abilities you may not actually ever lose them (for they are an integral part of your divine being), but they will tend to become a little rusty from lack of use and it will accordingly become much more difficult to restore to a point where they could be useful to you in helping others.

Thank you very much for reading my message and taking the time to reply to it. I truly appreciate your consideration.

The reading was not done by anyone from the forum. It was a face-to-face reading. The reader told me some very scary things about my family and their health, but started the reading by telling me that I have the ability within me to do what he was doing. Then he said that he would guide me and spoke of great success in my future. He also mentioned that there was a spirit following me that is try to destory my life.

Now i'm concerned about my family's health and this 'bad' spirit that is around me. I feel that you can't just tell someone something like that, then offer your help to eliminate it and then deserrt the person. So that is what i was taken aback.

So because of that experience I have no idea what to ask for. Help to develop my abilities? Confirmation on what was told to me? and Excorsim? I have no idea where to go from here.

So I am hoping to find some guidance within this forum.

It sounds to me that the purpose of giving you a reading was to first frighten you as much as possible so that you will feel that you are increasingly dependent on this so called psychic. Not only does it give him a feeling of increased control over what is after all your life to live as you see fit, but it also means that you will become a reliable source of income for some time into the future.

Sorry if I seem so cynical about the irresponsible actions of this man, but it is people such as him who give genuine and caring psychic readers a bad name, and I therefore focus my understandable anger and frustration into doing whatever I am humanly able to reveal these people for whom they really are. I also do not like to stand by and watch the people whom I am trying to help to the best of my ability be exploited by these frauds and charlatans, often at the very times in their lives when they are at their most vulnerable.

Please use the Psychic forum to post your questions in future, and leave this one for requesting readings only. We look forward to helping you to both recognise your particular psychic strengths, as well as in assisting you to develop them to the point that you will be able to help other members in turn in a similar manner.

Hi,

Sorry to butt in but I must agree with eye of tiger very much so. This psychic had no other plans for you but to scare you and see how far he could get himself with your own money. Try to never compare his words with any other works from psychics.
Lucky you were able though to learn this valuable lesson and now will feel a similar vibe the next time your in the presence of a like minded soul the same as him.

You do access psychic abilities, we all do but your very doubtful of yourself very much so. You also have the knack of being able to keep a driving force behind your pursuits so can mantain a great chance of high succeses in your endeavours. Your compassionat sometimes almost to a fault. Once you are able to empower this part of you then you shall reap the rewards. This wont come until your late 20's early 30s ..................oh by going by your age I just checked then your starting to move into this phase of development.

But again I just wanted to say that eye of tiger is so very accurate this psychic was nothing more than a lesson for you and others. Please leave anything he said in the trash compartment and dump it.
