I would really like someone who could read for me.

In some ways, I feel a fraud for asking but deep down inside I am really hurting badly. My date of birth is 26.6.1958 and I was born in the centre of England at about 6.30 am. I was very happily married to Ken (20.3.1948) for almost 25 years when he died on 9.2.2007.

Although I have worked with our daughter to keep the business going that we started a year ago, it is taking its toll with me trying to remain positive and focused when all I want to do is curl up in bed and let the world pass me by - that would be safe. Ken was my rock and greatest supporter, encourager and confidante.

Ken and I were VERY close and I miss him desperately. I am spiritual and had hoped that I would be able to feel Ken or, in fact, communicate with him but this is not happening and I feel so abandoned and alone. Don't get me wrong, our daughter is wonderful and has been very strong and kept me going but I still miss Ken.

I would really like a reading/message about what happened with Ken, is he truly at peace and what is going to happen in the future.

Hi Sara,

Normally I would leave your posting for any one of the trained mediums (which I am not) on this board to respond to, but I am being strongly drawn towards answering it myself.

Having loved and supported Ken (as he STILL DOES you) for almost 25 years and only having so recently APPARENTLY lost him, I would be greatly surprised and frankly concerned if you were not feeling more than a little bit down at the moment. I emphasised that Ken STILL DOES love you because although you may not presently sense him still there beside you, HE IS. I placed the word APPARENTLY in capital letters because although it may outwardly appear that you have now lost each other (at least for the many remaining years of your own lifetime), he is now closer to you than he had ever been able to while still living on Earth.

With due respect I feel that he is somewhat puzzled as to why you would believe after having been married to him all those years that he would then simply go and leave you to cope with the business that he worked so hard to establish and with getting on with the rest of your life alone by yourself. You are not to feel in the least guilty for needing to reach out for whatever help you can find, and I do not give readings to people who are attempting to either deceive me or themselves. I do not for one moment believe that you are doing either of these, but that you are instead being as true to yourself and to your husband now as you always were in the past.

The reason why you do not feel Ken's presence is not that it is felt that you do not need to, but it is nature's way of temporarily numbing the pain of your grief so that you can at least do what needs to be done to ensure that you and your daughter remain relatively healthy and have a reasonable degree of financial security. While Ken knows that you will always do your very best to keep the business going in the right direction, if it comes down to making a choice between the business and your own health and happiness, then you really do not have a choice to make at all. You and your daughter's future are more important than any business, but that being said I feel that Ken is still very much with you all the way in both guiding you with matters concerned in running the family business and that he has every confidence that you will succeeded in the end, as long as you do not allow it to turn you away from what continues to be of utmost importance to him - you and your daughter.

If it is any comfort and help to you in maintaining the business, try to think about what Ken would have done in the same situation as you find yourself now, and then simply allow your mind to empty itself of it's thoughts (do not attempt to force this process). This will greatly increase the already strong love link which exists between you, as well as your ability to tune into what advice your husband is attempting to offer you. Generally the first thoughts which come to mind when you do this within your meditation and/or relaxation sessions is the genuine article. Anything which comes later is more likely to be only an expression of your own wishful thinking or inner fears.

I would like to close this reading for now by saying that although I do not feel that you will ever be able to carry on a two way conversation with your husband as a trained medium would be able to do, I do at the same time believe that by doing what I have suggested above that you will gradually feel your husband's presence increasingly in you and your daughter's lives. He wishes to continue to be regarded as an active member of your family, and will offer you further guidance as to what is the wisest thing to do with regards to the business, as and when it is needed. He is justly proud of what you have been able to achieve in spite of all that you have gone through (was the way he passed sudden and unexpected?) both before and after his passing. But I repeat that when it comes to choosing between your health and happiness and the success of the family business, you and your daughter must always be given the greatest priority in any decisions which need to be made.

Eye of Tiger - thank you so much for your wisdom. I know that Ken is with me/us at all times ... I just wish I was more attuned to sensing him in a more tangible way. Ken and I were true soulmates and, I believe, we had shared our lives previously and that we will again and again and again ...

Your words have made such a difference and for that I am truly grateful - I am crying my eyes out as I write this! I have been trying to keep the tears at bay but the time has come (again) to let them flow for a while - thank you for removing the block that had formed.

I will keep going because that is what Ken wants me to do but I do miss having his words to guide me directly.
