Hey, I would love to have a reading. I have a bunch of things in my mind and a bunch of things going on around me. So I guess a general one would be fine. please help.

Hello Maryanne,

This intuitive reading only confirms what you have already told me in that nothing in your life especially recently is turning out quite as you would have expected it to. You may indeed feel that you are currently caught up in a complex web of circumstances which are largely beyond your control, but your reading is saying that the only barrier which exists to prevent you successfully resolving these many life challenges is in your own mind or in your way of looking at things and immediately being able to make a long and detailed list of all the things which could potentially go wrong, without at the same time recognising the potential for things to work out for the better.

While you should not throw out all common sense and rush straight in where angels fear to tread, you are being forced into listening more carefully to and trusting in your own instincts about whether others are telling you the truth. Their words and actions appear to be the complete opposite of the other? Your reading is above all encouraging you to make the habit of taking a step back from your problems and giving yourself an opportunity to get a much more balanced perspective on your problems before taking action a part of your emotional survival plan. It is not saying that you are imagining that you have these problems, but rather it is urging you to use logic and your intuition in a more balanced manner and that this will not be possible if you continue to by your way of looking at life make your existing problems appear even bigger than they already are.

There is always a way out of any situation, and in your case the best possible course of action is to walk straight ahead of you, instead of attempting to continue to live indefinitely with past regrets which are holding you back from wanting to take the calculated risks necessary to move forwards once again, with both hope for a brighter future as well as faith in yourself and your own abilities.

When we are young, there are just so many opportunities and possibilities for the future. It is like being at a banquet and not knowing which dish to choose...the choices are too many.

While you will be fulfilling all your prospects, it is time to cull the garden, and pick a direction (for now) that will allow for so much more to open. We can be stuck with our own energies going in circles, instead of putting it behind us to propel into prosperity.

Pick one path! Stick to it (for now)! Then watch so much more unfold as you are on the move.

This indicates looking forward, not getting stuck in the past! That applies to job/career, relationships (friends, lovers), as well as your general outlook and movement. Leave your fears and self doubt behind you as you open to so much available in the future.

We can choose which direction we look. If we are constantly looking back, we do not see the potential of the present and future.

Thank you both for your guidance. So what you are saying is that I am standing in my own way and building brick walls? Could this possible be the reason that I feel unconnected and that my gifts have stagnated? I feel like my zest for life has disappeared.

Not quite correct, but you are getting closer.

What I actually said was:

This means that it is not that you are doing anything wrong, or that you are consciously erecting barriers to your own progress.

It is much more to do with the way in which you view what is happening to you, and how the world is treating you.

Unfortunately our ways of seeing things are mainly unconscious thought habits, which does not make them particularly easy to deal with by the usual means.

It does NOT however mean that this is impossible.

It is something which needs to be gently worked with over time, and the worst thing I feel that you could possibly do now is to beat up on yourself for doing something of which you were never guilty in the first place.

This totally unnecessary fear and guilt would be almost guaranteed to make your situation infinitely worse, so I ask as your friend that you would please stop doing this to yourself ASAP.

You like all of us here are doing the very best you can with what you have been given, and nobody even God him or herself could ever reasonably expect anything more of you than this.

Please show at least as much love and respect for yourself, as you so frequently do to others!
