Over the years i have done many readings and seen some amazing things.
Sorry for the long post but this site is amazing.
I never had the chance to ask and get answers from people like my self .
I spent most of my early life thinking i was nuts.
The very moment that changed me was..
One night when i was 6 or 8 i woke up on the lounge( sofa ) and i didnt know who i was but suddenly in my head i heard myself reminding me that i was being placed in this body to pilot this body on its life journey. It was more than just a dream or vision it was as real as you reading this post. I took me ages to piece together my life previous to that moment...
Has anybody experienced that???
From that moment it started.
I see people that have passed over. I see them like you would see a life sized moving drawing of a loved one... is that the same as everyone else?
I feel souls pass around me and see them as dark shapes I have had them talk to me and even lie on me when im half asleep.. is that the same as everybody else?
I sit out the front of my place and sometimes i see a wall of pure evil pass around my house at night like you would watch a truck go past. is that right?
I have a constant diologue of conversations going on in my head like you have a group of people talking but its your voice. is that normal?
I have visions like im watching a tv and seeing a short movie. does everyone get them like that?
When i hold my hand over someones hand i can see their soul. Any one get that as well ?.
I was told that this is the year it all happens for me.
The question i was needing to know is ..Will my gift become as strong as i have been told.

There will always be development questions. You are a very seeking person and it will unfold as you seek answers to questions that arise. We never have all the answers, only more questions. It is interesting that you are such a questioning person and it has not been comfortable...give yourself a break and just enjoy the ride!

One of the first steps in psychic development is...TAKE CHARGE! The more you decide what to entertain in your mind, the more in charge of the whole process you will become. You will work with the unseen world...but just allowing all and sundry is like inviting anyone into your home without restraint...even a thief.

There are many teachers and techniques to examine. As you are quite a questioning person, getting many answers and mulling them over for effect, may be your best approach. We can all find a good teacher and follow that path for a time, until it is time to go on. You will never be 'stuck' in a rut. But you may experience some confusions when trying to assimilate all information....the good, the bad, the ugly is so available on line.

May I please add my own comments to the excellent counsel which spiritalk has already so kindly offered you?

You asked several times throughout your posting:

NO this is NOT THE SAME as everyone else's experiences of spirits and spirit visitations, AND NEITHER SHOULD IT BE.

We are intended to be unique individuals in many different respects, and our psychic experiences are surely not any different in this regard.

While it may be somehow reassuring and comforting to be able to look up to the experiences of others as an example of exactly how things might be expected to happen, if you continue to use what could be their very different psychic experiences to either validate or invalidate your own, you are not I believe showing the proper respect for your own Higher Self and your right as an individual to follow his or her life path as they see fit.

What might be a perfectly normal and reasonable psychic event for a person with your particular psychic skills and tendencies may be completely out of the ordinary for anyone else (and vice versa or the other way around)? The nature of our personal psychic experiences may be at least as unique as we ourselves apparently are?
