Hi, my name is sally, my date of birth is 08/02/1957 and my sunsign is Aquarius. My life seems to have been on a downward spiral for the last 2 years and i just don't know what to do anymore.  I would especially like to know if i will find work soon, as not only could we do with the finances, i could do with getting out among people too.
If you have the time, could i please have a reading?

Many thanks!

Welcome Sally,

I am genuinely saddened to hear that life in general has not been treating you particularly well over the last two years or so, and I sincerely hope that the following reading will herald a major upwards turning point in your life.

You asked about whether or not you would soon get a job, not only to give you a regular source of income with which to pay those seemingly endless bills, but also as a means of getting out amongst people, and having some form of social life once again (after having been unemployed and feeling isolated for quite a while?).

If you are willing to start with the basics and then gradually work up in a job to a more well paid position, then this reading is saying that there will be several such employment opportunities coming up for you over the next six to twelve months.

Two of the possible major barriers you may encounter as I read it is both your age, and whether or not you have adequate financial reserves in order to tide you over until you can prove that you have what it takes to do the job well. I therefore see you at the beginning of an entirely new phase of your overall career path effectively as an apprentice or someone who need to be willing to be shown the ropes by a fellow worker who is more experienced or is in a position of authority over you.

Fortunately you are one of those types of people who can easily learn on the job and will pick up new skills in a shorter period of time than most are capable of, so while the barriers including those I have mentioned above simply cannot be swept under the rug as if they did not exist, they should not on the other hand be magnified out of all reasonable proportion. In other words while they will present you with real challenges to overcome, they should not prove to be beyond a person with your prior qualifications and skills.

Another factor I view as being significantly in your favour is your almost instinctive ability to use words in order to effectively communicate your thoughts and ideas to others working with you. This will obviously be of great potential benefit to you during interviews, as well as later while on the job in a more supervisory position where other people are working under your supervision.

Your reading is consequently encouraging you to continue to work with and refine your speaking skills, as not only will this increase your chances of being a successful applicant, but the ability to efficiently supervise and work co-operatively with other workers with a common purpose in mind will also give you more money in your weekly or fortnightly pay packet.

Overall on the basis of this reading, I feel that there will be several excellent opportunities for you to get quite a reasonable job during the coming months (if you are able and willing to begin at the bottom and work upwards), but what advantage you take of these job openings is largely up to you. In addition to seeking a career counsellor who is knowledgeable about the relative availability of the type of job you are looking for in your local area, do anything you possibly can (but not too expensive) with the purpose of increasing your feelings of self esteem. Having at an earlier stage in my own life been long term unemployed (I have since retired), I know all too well what terrible damage being unemployed over an extended period can frequently do to your feelings of self confidence, IF YOU ALLOW IT TO.

Wishing you every success for the future (and not that distant) in getting that new job of your's,

EOT

Hi eye_of_tiger,
Many, many thanks for the reading.  It's amazing that you knew I have prior qualifications and that one of my great loves is Words!  I adore reading and crossword puzzles and anything to do with words.
I too have began to think that my age might be a barrier, but it's good to know that it can be overcome.  I don't mind starting at the bottom and being shown the ropes, even if it's by someone younger than me.  I've also been told in the past that I'm quick to learn, only took 1 month to do a 3 month computer course.  You're right, I do need to do something about my self esteem.  Being a naturally shy person, being unemployed hasn't helped.  I will continue to scan for jobs and let you know when I get one.
Once again, many thanks for a fantastic reading.
