I would have to agree with Reichild, only certain information is given to us.  When it comes on we are able to see very clearly and then other times...  relationships within the same work place are usually never good.  You must find peace within yourself first before searching for the special person.  If your soul is still not at peace with itself, you will forever be out there searching and searching for the wrong kinds of people to have relationships with.  That is why you have all the past troubles and heartaches.  When you love you first, then you know what it is your soul is really searching for and from there you could find that which you need.  Get you know yourself and ask yourself what kind of person you want that would make you happy and fulfill your life's purpose.  Otherwise you are searching aimlessly and will end up with the wrong person.  Save yourself from the agony of being hurt one more time, because I don't think you would be able to handle one more upset.  You have been hurt very badly once a few years ago and that left a scar within your heart that you find hard to mend and it left you distrusting yourself as well as others.  If you have this distrust, it will hinder your relationship regardless of who you are with.  Resolve the turmoil and hurt within you first and that will serve you better when you do go out and meet people.  Learn to forgive that person who had hurt you so badly and learn that everyone is different from each other.  Right now you are looking at them with the visions of them hurting you one more time and that is why you have the what if's, and the should I's.  I think if you relax and just allow yourself time to heal without longing for someone to make you feel whole.  I found my true happiness within myself and the tranquility.  Love thyself and others will love you as well.  You are of a kind nature and wear your heart on your sleeve.  Don't jump into to something if you are unsure, because that unsureness is telling you something you already know but have blocked it from hitting you so you are able to see it.  Take time out no matter how long it takes to rediscover who you really are and I'm positive that will take you very far.  Eventually you will be very happy and you will find that which you are searching for, but it will not come as Reichild said, anytime soon.  Because you must find yourself first before they can find you.

Just believe in yourself and you will be fine.  You are strong and always seem to bounce right back.  Just take it one day at a time and one day you will look at yourself in the mirror and know when you are healed from within and better, and you will reflect what long road it took you to get there.  Have fun being you and have fun discovering you, let your true self come through and service and it will make you shine.  As long as you know what you need for that healing, that is 1/2 the battle already.
