the second opinion thing does seem true. like if a doctor diagnoses an incurable or serious disease..we have the habit of going to another doc for  "second opinion" . but then whom do u believe? what if u believe the wrong person?? i have seen people go to many astrologers too and try out all the remedies. as Rhutobello correctly says ultimately at the end it depends on how u take it. whatever readings u receive , take it as a warning. but remember that the final results will happen only becoz of ur own doing.if u just w ait for somrthing to happen.. thrn that is the wrong attitude.

Well there might be a little difference here, let me try to explain:)
The Doctor option opens my eyes for that one.
If you become ill, it’s quite recommended that you get a second opinion or a third, but there is one important thing, you bring with you…the illness.

If you ask for a reading, and this is done with physical things like cards, runes, ie, you get an answer from the “spirit world”  for that specific question.
This shall be interpreted by the “medium” This medium can have a good or a bad day, but the meanings of the “cards” “runes” are given.

My thought would therefore be that if you want a second opinion on the subject, and you believe in the cards, bring the spread( which cards and their position) to another reader for a second opinion, or start to explore it by yourself. (but you need a lot of knowledge to do it right)
With this I mean: The spread itself bring the messages, it can be interpreted in several ways that is accepted in the meaning of the cards, in order to find this and to make up your opinion explore the spread and then follow it’s lead.
On the other hand if you go for several spread for the same question, then you are just shopping for your Ego.(or try to find one that confirm that opinion you already have)
And always have in mind, the card never tells about your or your nearest death, it can’t give you gold or riches (if so every Reader would be multimillionaire) It tells about death in habits, born of new ideas, work towards goal, show love and compassion, it’s at tool that can make us see our “bad habits” and lead us on the right way. Happy Readings:)

Can I weigh in on this subject here? I think I might be qualified because sometimes I ask for multiple readings and there are several reasons for this. Like others have stated it's asking for a second..or maybe third opinion.  Its very true that different readers give a querant a different perspective on the questions asked.  It is also very true that sometimes one reader will have a bad day and another might be having a good day.  But there is another issue no one has addressed...hope I don't step on toes here...

Sometimes certain people can be very hard to read for...I'm one of those people by the way. For whatever reasons sometimes a querent will get the reading and the readers are wayyyyyyy off. I had one of those recently. What's a querent to do?

I agree with Rhutobello's take on things...the querent should put it away for another day, ask a different question, look for a reader they resonate with who is accurate and on point with their reading.

In my reading practice I can usually tell when someone is just 'reader hopping' to get the answer they want or to feed their own ego or dependency. I can also tell when someone won't listen or follow advice given in the reading. After 2 tries with them I politely decline to read for them.

If however, I feel that they just haven't really gotten the answer to their questions I sit with them in conversation for a while and we devise different questions or ways of asking the questions to get the answers they really need. Some things are not meant to be known, but experienced so sometimes 'nobody's talking' in the spirit realm. In that case I let the querent know that the answers they are seeking will only be revealed through their own experience in spirit's own time and way and that trying to get the answers from divination or psychic readings is not going to yield them the results they want..I recommend they do a Silent Observer meditation and if they agree I take them through a guided meditation. Quite frequently in these situations once they detach emotionally from their issues and questions and get some 'distance' the answers arise from their own intuition.
